Chapter 28

Jason McCann:

"Awweeeee, Clap clap" Carter said. I turn around to see him. His gun was pointing at us. Melissa stands infront of me. I try to get up but I'm to weak. "I'll go with you just let him live" Melissa said. My heart sank. I grabbed her hand. "What are you doing?" I ask. She started to cry & Let my hand go. She was walking towards carter. "That's right" He said. She turned around to look at me. Pain in her eyes. I try getting up "don't move McCann" Carter said. I got up fully.

I try to give a step towards Melissa. Carter pull the tiger. I closed my eyes. I check my self. I was fine. Melissa fell to the ground. Another gun shoot went off. I look up to see Alex shot Carter. Carter fell. "Melissaa!" I yelled. I walked over to her & pull her in my arms. "Stay awake baby, Keep your eyes on me" I said. She was bliking trying to stay stong. "Please don't close them" I said. She grabbed my hand tight.I Broke down. Alex came over & helped my pick Melissa up. "I love yo-" She didn't finsh. Then she closed her eyes. It felt like the end of the world to me.

"Quickly get the others & meet me at the hospital" I say. Alex looks at me like I'm crazy. "Jason they will put you in jail if they see you there" He tells me. "I don't give a fuck, Just take me there" I say. the others were already in the Van. Allan got some towels & started to clean her up. They took a different turn from the city. "Where are we going? I said the hospital" I said. I was mad. "Home, We will get Melissa well with out risking anything" Alex said. I wanted to kill Alex, But the thought of Melissa calmed me down.

We finally got home. I pick Melissa bridal style & Took her to the emergency room. Allan & a new kid came in. They told me to leave the room & go change. I didn't want to, I want to be there with her. They finally convince me. I went upstairs & took a shower.

When I came down stairs They were all in the room. "We got the bullet out, She's fine but we don't know when she will wake up or if she's even gonna wake up" Allan said. I went to her. I told them to leave the room.

"Baby, If you're listening please wake up" I said. I started to cry. Yes, Criminals also cry .-.

She didn't move. Her life was depending on a machine. I kissed her forehead. I went upstairs & fell asleep. When I Wake up tomorrow I hope to see her awake too.

Alex McCann:

I'm in my room now. After I shot Carter & Saw how my little brother broke down. My feelings got to me. I couldn't sleep. If I can't sleep I couldn't imagine Jason.

I got up & checked the room Melissa is in. Jason wasn't there. I went upstairs & saw him laying down crying himself to sleep. I went over to him. He looked at me. He then pulled me into hug.

"Please tell me she will wake up" He said. That broke me. "I can't promise" I say. He let go & got up. "Why can't I ever be happy?" He yelled. I didn't reply. He was mad & punched the wall, I'm pretty sure there will be a whole in there. I try calming him down. He sat down at the end of the bed.

"they won't leave me alone" He said. I sat next to him. "What?" I ask. He blinked away some tears. "They are my shadow" he said. "Jason what?" I ask. I'm really confuse. "Only if I had been a good kid, He would of never killed them. If I would of listen to mom back then I wou-" I cut him off. "Jason please, It wasn't your fault" I say. I pat his back. "Now they will take Melissa as a punishment" He said.

I got him to fall asleep. I left his room. I went to mine. Melissa better wake up soon or he's going to loose it.
