The bright lights streaming in from the open window pulled me from a peaceful dream. Angel, on the other hand, was still very much asleep with an arm tossed haphazardly over me. I moved the limb, sliding from the bed and twisting my sore body in a much needed stretch. A yawn escaped my lips as I made my way to the bathroom for a much needed, scalding hot bath.
Even after getting out and getting dressed, Angel was still asleep and had even sprawled across the bed, face stuffed in my pillow. I snorted, turning towards the kitchen to prepare breakfast. When the man still didn't wake up, I left a covered plate and a note on the counter before snatching up a bad and locking the door behind me.

I grumbled, feeling around for a body and frowning when I came up empty. I slowly opened my eyes to find that Dallas was in fact, gone. I stretched, rolling out of the bed and making my way to the kitchen where a warm plate piled with food sat waiting next to a glass of water and bottle of pills.
I pulled a chair from the table, taking a seat as I slid the plate closer smiling at the simple note that she left behind reading "Thank you." I took my time finishing my breakfast before cleaning the kitchen behind myself. After showering and dressing in some clothes Dallas left by the sink, I scoured through the house for my neglected phone.
I turned on the device and not long after it had powered on, a call came through from Devil.
"Where the hell are you?" As soon as the line connected I heard my brother's voice.
"Damn. No Hi, how are you? Are you safe?" I teased, running my hand through my hair before searching for my sneakers.
"Hi Angel. How are you? Are you safe." He sounded completely fed up already as he spoke.
"Now. I don't know where you disappeared to this time, but we need you back." I had finished tying my laces as he completed his sentence and straightened with furrowed eyebrows.
"Something wrong?" I questioned making sure I had everything before heading to the door.
"Not really, but some moves need to be made and we need you here for it." Devil explained.
"Got it. Be there in 20." I locked the door behind me as I pulled it closed.
.
.
.
"Yo. What's the word?" I questioned as I entered the house only to be greeted by the sight of men lined up in the living room with stacks of cash and products piled on the table.
"Where did you go yesterday?" Fallen ignored my question and asked one of his own.
His eyes narrowed as he looked me up and down before rolling his eyes.
"Is she okay?" He changed his question and I laughed before gripping my still aching sides.
"Yeah. She's doing perfectly fine. I even got breakfast out of the deal so I guess we now know who she likes the most." I smirked reveling in the sour looks on their faces.
"Anyway. We have some organizing to do here but you need to head down south. We got some new work with the Russians." Fallen instructed.
"What? Don't need me to help with clean up?" I asked, wide smile crossing my face.
"No." I couldn't even finish my question completely before they both rejected my offer.
"Okay, fine." I held my hands up in surrender as I backed towards the door, smile still on my face.
"I'll handle the stupid Russians."
