"Dallas baby look at me. Look right here." Devil's voice was calm and slow, and although I couldn't yet get myself to breathe correctly, I was able to focus on his grey-blue eyes that held nothing but concern.

"I need you to calm down okay. You need to breathe." His thumbs stroked my cheeks as he talked and I nodded my head.

"Fallen just got off the phone with your brother. You-"

"My dad?!" My eyes were wide as I cut him off, my dad was the only thing I was worried about that the moment.

"Your dad is okay minx. Your brother said that he's doing fine now and has just gotten out of surgery. He's stable and is set to wake up in a few minutes." Fallen informed and it was then that I realized that he too had already finished the phone call and was on the floor by my side.

"I need to go see him." I didn't think of anything else as I attempted to stand up but was forced back down by Angel.

"Dallas, calm down okay. You're still not calm." Devil instructed.

"I don't care about that right now. I need to go see my dad." I stated.

" What's 7+1? At Fallen's question, I blanched.

"8?" It came out as a question as I was confused about where it came from and why he would ask that.

"What's your full name?"

"Dallas Brianna Hood." I didn't think as I answered the question.

"Can you please let me go see my dad now?"

"What color is the wall?" Fallen asked instead.

"Crème." I paused before answering.

"I don't get what that-"

"What color is the sky?" He questioned cutting me off.

"..."

I remained silent, and he gave me a pointed look as if we weren't going to get anywhere unless I answered his questions. I sighed, rolling my eyes before answering.

"Depends on the time of day really."

"Smart ass," Angel muttered under his breath as Fallen smirked.

"What color is the sky now?" He rephrased his question.

"Blue." I gave the answer with another roll of my eyes.

He smiled, tilting his head to the side as he said: "Well, it worked. You're calm, and you've stopped hyperventilating."

Once the words were out of his mouth, I realized that he was right and that his random questioning had distracted me enough to calm down.

"Thank you." I smiled in return.

"No problem." He brushed the hair from my face and held his hand out to me after he stood.

I took the offered hand and got to my feet, the others followed, and we sat on the couch, Devil handing me the glass of water that I had neglected earlier. I gladly took it and reveled in the feeling of the cold water going down my dry throat.

"Thank you..." I said once more, taking the glass from my face.

"All of you." I locked eyes with each of them as I spoke.

"Come on now minx. What do you take us for; leaving our woman to deal with something like that?" It was rhetorical, and I smiled before rolling my eyes out of habit.

"Glad to see you back to yourself," Angel smirked.

"Yeah, whatever. Don't bring it up." Now that I was over it, it was better for me if I not bring it up or talk about it for a while.
