-Mark's POV-
Christmas break past by fast with lots of fights and weird suprises. It was christmas eve and my dad let all of us open one. It was so far the best day ever because my parents haven't fought but it was all about to take a wrong turn though. When I opened my present it was the headphones I wanted. I was suprised that my dad got a present fro my mom and vice versa. My dad got my mom 2 tickets to Hawaii and she was speechless. "Honey the reason I got the tickets was so we could relax in Hawaii. We've been fighting andI don't like it," my dad said but he stopped in shock because he opened his present from mom and it was divorce papers and all my mom had to say was,"It seemed that you really wanted a divorce so I got you the divorce papers and al you need to do is sign them." I was really devastated and walked to my room and stayed calm because I tried to stop cuttin since I almost lost one of my middle school friends to suicide. I haven't cut since Jessica slept over and I gave her all my razors except for my emergency one. I looked everywhere for my repot card and I gave it to my parents," From me to both of you." I knew that they were going to like it because I got straight A's. They were happy and we spent christmas together without any fights.
-3 weeks later-
When I got back to school the first thing I did was to switch my electives. I couldn't stand my music teacher. I went to my homeroom and I got a letter from the Decatholan teacher.
Dear Mark,
This is the decatholan teacher, Mr.Hernandez. I have noticed that ever since freshmen year you have gotten striaght A's which means being a Junior you have been accepted into the decatholan team. Meet me at room 3 to discuss on which subject you will represent us in.

I was so happy that I got accepted because it was my dream to get accepted. I was a real nerd inside. I went to Jessica and told her about how my parents are on the verge of a divorce but my dad isn't ready yet so they are still married. Then I told her about the decatholan teem and she was suprised because she was accepted too. I was having the best day ever. After school I went to the bookstore and at the end of my shift I grabbed a book that seemed interesting. It's called The Maze Runner. I read it all the way home and went on facebook and messaged an elementary friend of mine until 2:00 and then fell asleep
