-Mark's POV-
"Hahaha your a gay retard!" chanted the whole class while the teacher was gone to go to the office. I felt like crying but the tears would only add "crybaby" to the list of insults they call me by.
"Shut up and leave me alone for once," I yelled at all the peoplethat were teasing me. Most people were shocked because I am always the quiet one in the corner. The meanest bully was amking his way to me.
"What are you gonna do about it little girl," he said to me while grabbing my polo pulling me closer to his reach. He started to make his hand into a fist but before it could reach my face I made a fist and brought it to his face. After that I grabbed my stuff ,while the crowd was distracted by confusion and awe, and ran out of the room to my locker and straight home. Once I got there I locked my door and went to my sock drawer and looked for my razor. i found it and tried looking for space on both my arms until I found some space below my wrist. When I finished that I went to the bathroom but I couldnt move and thats when I heard bells. At first I thought i was dead but then I realized I was day dreaming and 6th period was over. I went to my locker and started going to the front when i turned a corner and bumped into a girl. When we bumped both the girl and I dropped our pennyboards on the floor.
"Sorry I wasn't looking where I was going," I told her.
"Thats fine I was on my phone anyways too," she replied.
"I'm Mark Reyes," I told her.
"Jessica Valentine," she said to me.
"Jessica I know we just met but do you want to go get coffee," I asked her.
"Sure," she answered. With that we both pennyboarded to Starbucks and got to know each other but I had the feeling that she thought I was annoying until she invited me to go do homework at her house. I thought i misheard her so I asked her what she said and she repeated what I thought she said. We went home and did homework in the kitchen until 2:30 when we finished. Turns out that she likes Star Wars and we watched all the episodes she had until 3:50 when we needed to go to work. We both pennyboarded to the bookstore where she worked at and I saw that they were hiring.
During my break I went to the bookstore to fill out an application and gave it to the clerk before Jessica came out and saw me. I went back to work and then home.
-Jessica's POV-
I went to put my phone to charge in the breakroom and when I came out I saw Mark leaving the bookstore. Before i could react he was gone. I quickly got out and asked Sharon,the clerk, about what he wanted. " Hey Sharon what did the boy that just left want?"
"He just gave me an application for our help wanted sign. I think he will make a great employee hear because he knows everything in this bookstore. Anyways can you close up it's the end of our shifts," she told me. I did as she said and then grabbed my stuff and pennyboarded home thinking about how it would be if Mark and I working together.
