-Mark's POV-
I had figured out that I had a crush on someone that I wish I could talk to but she doesn't know who I am. I guess she doesn't know I exist and I'm invisible to her. I have only seen her around because she is one of Jessica's friends thats always/sometimes walking around with her. I walked with Jessica to her locker and asked her about the girl. Turns out that her name is Karina amd that she doesn't have a boyfriend. I went to go talk to her but I was really nervous. "Hey," I said hoping for a response. She didn't seem to notice me and I don't blame her because who would talk to a loser like me. Then I realized that her head was LITERALLY inside her locker as if she was stuck. I helped her get out of there by pulling her backpack and out came her head. She thanked me and started to walk but she stopped and turned back at me. "My name is Karina Linares and thanks for getting me out of my locker again," she said. Her voice sounded like angels singing. I was in awe at her beauty until I noticed that I was staring andshe was trying to get my attention. Thats when Jessica came in and helped me. She introduced me to her and told us each others schedule. By the time she ended the bell for 5 minutes left rang and we ran to our homeroom because it was all the way across the school. On the way there I left my backpack in my 2nd period class and continued the day as a normal one little knowing what was waiting for me at home.
-Karina's POV-
I had just broke up with my boyfriend Julio and before you ask he isn't Latino he is black. I was sad more than any other person in the world. I went to my locker and stuck my head inside crying. I heard a faint hey but I just wanted to be left alone so I didn't answer. Then when I realized I was stuck I had no one to help me out. Thats when I felt a little tug on my back as if someone was pulling on my backpack. Then it returned harder this time. I was actually getting help from someone. When I came out of my locker I saw a nice looking guy with the sun in his eyes. I said thank you to him and left. Then I stopped in my tracks and turned around I walked to the boy that was now walking away with his head down. I felt sorry for him so I talked to him,"My name is Karina Linares and thanks for getting me out of my locker again." After that he just started looking and staring at me. At first I was like clueless and just started saying hello but then I realized he liked me because no one stares at you this long. Thats when Jessica came and stopped the awkwardness going on. She introduced us and turns out we have 3 classes together and I was happy because he was kind of cute.
-Valentines Day-
Background info: Karina and Mark are going out and he stopped cutting. His parents are divorced now but he is happy because they still love him. Jessica found a boyfriend named Asher. Her anniversary was on Valentines Day last year because thats when he asked her out.
-Mark's POV-
I had asked my dad to stop by and buy flowers for me to give Karina. I texted her to meet me at our usual place. When I get there I see her making out with Adam,the guy that sits behind me in P.E. "KARINA!!" I scream between sobs. She just broke the kiss and looked at me embarrassed. "Oh hi Mark," she says and Adam obviously wanting more of my girlfriend. I throw the flowers on the ground and just walk away to the bathroom and in the background I could hear them making out again. Once there in the bathroom I take out my razor and cut until the bell rang. I skipped homeroom because I didn't want anyone to see me cry. After homeroom I went to my first period and the day dreaded on.
After school I was walking out the front door when Jessica found me and grabbed my arm. "OWW," I scream because she grabbed my new/reopened cuts. "Mark you promised you wouldn't cut anymore,"she said.
"I have a good reason," I reply.
"What happened," Jessica asked.
"I found Karina kissing another guy," i said. she just pulled me into my arms and we went to my dad's house. We talked and I fell asleep after we did our homework.
-Karina's POV-
So it was Valentines Day and Mark texted me to meet at our usual spot. I went there and my best guy friend was walking by. "Will you be my valentine," he asked me. I was shocked considering that he knew I had a boyfriend and that I didn't like him.
"No," I replied. he started to get closer to me. "Adam get away," I tell him but he kept coming closer and soon we were making out. His lips were so soft and I felt comfortable kissing him but Mark's lips were softer. Soon Marl came and we had a fight and when he left Adam came in for some more. I guess my relationship with Mark is over and my new one with Adam just started.
