The car stops in front of Alex's house and he pays the driver. I get out of the car to help with their bags and Addison wraps her arms around me. "Thanks for everything. I understand you're really busy but I'd like to see you again."

I pat her back before pulling away. "I promise you'll see me again. Maybe I'll even take you to a photo shoot with me if Alex doesn't mind."

"Okay," she grins.

She goes into the house, leaving me at the door with Alex. He smiles at me. "Thanks for entertaining her today. I can tell she enjoyed herself."

"I'm glad she did. It was nice to see you guys again," I smile.

He glances through the doorway. "I know you've spent enough time on us but if you're not doing anything, you're welcome to stay for a drink. I'll show you the house, too."

My smile grows. "I'd like that. Let me tell the driver."

"Okay. I'm going to take this to my room. Make yourself comfortable."

After telling the driver I'm going to stay, I go inside and walk around. It's a large, modern house. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Seeing it reminds me that I never cook or bake anymore. When we moved in with my dad, we had someone cook for us if Isabelle didnt. With my current job, I always eat out. I miss it.

"Beer?" Alex asks, walking past me.

"Sure," I say, pushing my thoughts aside. "This is a nice place."

"Thanks," he says, handing me an open beer. "Have you seen the living room?"

I shake my head. "I bypassed everything for this beautiful kitchen."

He smiles. "Come on. I'll show you."

He holds out his hand and I place my hand in it. I follow him into the living room which has mismatched furniture and a beautiful fireplace. In front of it is a large bean bag so I sit in front of it, leaning back against it. "It's just how you described it," I chuckle.

He sets his beer down and starts the fire. "Addison likes to sit down here and read in the mornings while she eats breakfast."

He sits beside me, staring at the fire. A faint smile plays on his lips. "You completely adore her. It's cute," I smile.

He shrugs. "She is my only niece. I enjoy spoiling her even though she's a handful."

"Well, she adores you too."

He nods slowly. After a long moment of silence , he speaks. "So are you and Robert dating?"

I raise my eyebrows. "No. We ran into each other the other night. Apparently everybody from Michigan comes here for spring break."

"I thought maybe you guys were together," he says.

I shake my head. "I haven't dated anyone since you."

"I've missed you," he admits softly, turning his head towards me.

"I missed you too," I reply softly.

Leaning forward, his lips brush mine but he waits for me to close the space between us. I take his lower lip between my teeth and tug at it gently, earning a soft moan from him before I release it and press my lips to his. Our lips move slowly as we remember each other on a more intimate level.

Before I know it, his tongue brushes against my lips and I grant his access to my mouth. My tongue explores his mouth and I struggle to put my beer bottle down. Once it's safely standing on the floor, I turn my body towards him and cup his face. My hand slips back into his hair, tugging gently. We pull apart when we hear a shriek. "Sleepover!" Addison yells excitedly.

Alex and I look at each other before laughing. Addison joins us on the floor. "I can't wait to tell all of my friends that my uncle is dating a famous person."

"We aren't dating," Alex chuckles. "It was just a kiss. A relationship takes time."

Addison looks at him in disbelief. "You guys have already dated and that was a pretty intense kiss for friends. There's no time to waste. I need a famous aunt."

I raise my eyebrows. Aunt? Maybe this was too soon. We just ran into each other again yesterday. I can't just jump into this or it'll just crash and burn like last time. When I clear my throat, all eyes are on me. "Where's the bathroom?"

"Down the hall to the left," Alex answers.

Standing, I quickly make my way to the bathroom. Once I have some privacy in the bathroom, I arrange for a taxi to come pick me up. It says it'll arrive within ten to fifteen minutes depending on traffic.

When I look up, I see a strange woman standing in front of me. Her long sun bleached hair falls in waves around her tan face and she is very thin. She's relatively pretty but something in her eyes takes the attention away from the rest of her. I come to the realization that I don't know who I am anymore. I'm not the same girl as I used to be and it scares the hell out of me.

Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath before opening them and leaving the bathroom. Alex and Addison are exactly how I left them. I run my fingers through my hair to move it away from my face. When Alex notices me, Addison turns her eyes to me as well. "I'm going to head out. I have to get up early for another photo shoot."

They both try to hide their disappointment but I can see right through them. "I can take you home," Alex offers.

I shake my head. "There's a taxi on the way."

"Was it because of me?" Addison asks. "I can go to my room."

I take a deep breath. "You didn't do anything, sweetheart. I'm just tired and I have to be up early. I'll try to make plans to see you again before you go home."

"Okay," she smiles.

She kisses her uncle's cheek then gets up to hug me before going to her room. Alex stares up at me from his spot on the floor. "Is this too fast? I completely understand if it is."

I saunter towards him before leaning down to get my beer. "Everything was fine. I just have some things to think about."

"Okay," he says softly.

We sit in silence, drinking our beers until we hear a honk from outside. I place my empty beer bottle on the table before turning to go. But his hand catches mine, pulling me back against his chest. His lips capture mine and I give him all I can until the taxi driver honks again. We pull apart breathlessly and he pecks my lips once more before letting me go.
