I saw Jacob carrying a weird looking object towards the chopper and was really keen to know what it is, he was carrying his M16 rifle on his back, as Jacob loaded the weird object into the chopper I made him jump when he turned around and he saw my ghost mask.
'What's that piece of shit?' I asked Jacob.
'It's a drill'.
It didn't look like a drill to me but I took his word for it. I climbed into the chopper and helped the others get in, we buckled up, I saw the ground getting lower as we took off towards our mission. Jacob gave us the mission briefing, everybody's faces dropped, they never heard of this type of mission.
'You got to be shitting me! Aliens!' loudly shouted Charlie.
'Dwayne's right this is a suicide mission!' also yelled Flow.
'We heard that Alpha squad went MIA, we got to finish what they started, and to look for them in the area' said Jacob.
'Who gives a shit!' loudly shouted Charlie.
'No one gets left behind!' I yelled out to everyone in the chopper.
It seemed to shut everybody up, no one spoke a word for the miles be past by, no one even looked at each other, the pilot made us know that we was close to our drop off zone, the sky was dark the clouds covered the moon, I looked at my watch, nine fifteen PM, we all jumped out of the chopper and checked the perimeter, it looked clear, Jacob passed me the drill and wished me luck, he had to stay in the chopper to cover us from above.
'Why are we doing this?' asked Flow.
'Because we are here' I answered Flows question but I too wondered, why us?.
We then landed just outside the town and we was told to destroy the hives, try and find Alpha squad, arm the nuke and hall ass back here, he also told us to watch our backs.
Jacob passed the drill over to Charlie, the helicopter then lifted off from the ground and covered us from the sky.
As the chopper lifted away it showed a large. Glowing red. Blob. It moved as if it was breathing, and mad a small growling noise. That must be the hive.
'What the fuck it that?!' Gowned David.
'Something not from this world by the looks of it' Said Charlie.
We followed Charlie towards the first hive. It seemed to quirt. Too quirt.
Charlie set the drill on to the hive. I heard a strange noise behind me. It sounded close and dangerous.
'Guys I heard something' 'Something big'.
'Your jumping at shadows dude' Sarcastically said Charlie.
'What did it look like?' asked Flow with concern.
Before I could answer her question I saw it again in the corner of my eye, I pointed my rifle in it's direction, I had to warn the others.
'I've got movement! two o'clock!' I yelled to the squad.
Flow then pointed her rifle in the same direction she then stood by my side and kept her guard up, David covered Charlie's back as he was setting up the drill.
I heard something climb on the building close by, it made me so scared I fired a couple of rounds into the air and scared the rest of the squad team.
'Jesus fucking Christ Dwayne!' yelled Flow with frustration.
A loud shriek came from nowhere, it got everyone on edge. The drill started up and dug into the hive, Flow then fired a few rounds above a small hill on the other side of the road. She saw something. Something dangerous.
The radio went off but all that we could hear was static, they where trying to tell us something. But what?
Suddenly a huge creature jumped from one side of the road to the other. It looked like a moving hive. We all looked in shock, but a split second later we all know it was an alien invasion.
'Get to cover! Keep your fucking rifles up and watch each others back!' Yelled Charlie as he left the drill to do it's work and got us into the building.
'Cover all the corners!' ordered Charlie.
We all choose a corner and covered each other, David tried to get in touch with the chopper. No luck.
We all yelled at each other wondering what we just witnessed with our own eyes, I then yelled at everybody to calm down and to be quirt, otherwise they would know where we are. I was next to a window and I checked the drill every fifteen seconds as ordered by Charlie.
After everyone went silent I could hear scratching from outside, as I looked out the window I saw a creature attacking the drill. I was shocked at what I was seeing. Flow then looked out her window and started firing her rifle.
'Cease fire!' yelled David.
I quickly peeked out the window again and the creature was gone.
'What the fuck is wrong with you?!' moaned Charlie.
'Didn't you see that fucking thing?!' shouted Flow.
'Yeah! It scared the shit out of me! But I didn't give our position!' yelled Charlie.
He wasn't making things better with his shouting. The creatures attacked the drill again, they climbed all over it, we had to keep the drill working. We had to fight.
I took a position on my window, I was taking deep breaths as I gazed at the alien creature, I looked down my eye sight with the creature in my sight, my finger was inching on the trigger.
"Contact!" I cried out, I then began to open fire, I kept my finger on the trigger, each round fired hit the monster, I was determined to kill it.
'Tangos at two o'clock!' yelled Charlie.
'Over there! ten o'clock!' yelled David.
They were all over the place, everywhere we looked they kept coming, none of us knew how we was going to survive.
'Hold your position guys!' ordered Charlie.
After about ten minutes of firing and ammo wasting they disappeared. For now.
The drill looked in bad shape, it needed repairs, the creature I shoot at was gone, we still couldn't get in contact with Jacob in the chopper, he said the chopper would be our eye in the sky, where is he?
'That was fucking insane!' I shouted, with fear running through my blood, I was jittery.
