Edited Version:
The children had finally returned from breakfast with their aunt and uncle. "Alright, you three. Change in plans. We'll be continuing the story. We'll just have a family outing another day, how does that sound?" I ask with a wide smile.
The three cheer loudly. "Will Dad be staying?" Tenzin asks.
Aang shakes his head. "Not today, bud. I have to sort some things out in the Fire Nation with your Uncle Zuko," he says. "I'll be back next week," he says.
After we bid him farewell, I start telling the story.

Sokka was trying to catch a fish while the rest of us were trying to relax. I was making flower crowns with Neo and Katara. Aang, on the other hand, was doing something that I wasn't paying attention to.
Katara looked up just as a large green fish jumped out of the water and then landed back in with a splash. "Look!" she said, pointing her finger at it.
Another fish copied the action. "He's taunting us. Oh, you are so gonna be dinner," Sokka said with crazed eyes.
Neo laughed at him. "Good luck with that," she said to him.
Sokka glared at her. He then turned back to the fish. Suddenly, he went into his tent and brought out a fishing pole. "Hey! Where's the fishing line?" he asked.
"Oh, I didn't think you would need it Sokka," Aang said as he held up a bracelet with a blue flower wove into it.
"Aw, it's all tangled," the water tribe boy said.
Aang shook his head. "Not tangled, woven," he said. He walked over to me and handed it to me. "Here, Omi. It's like the ones we used to make when we were at the Air Temple," he said with a grin.
"Thanks, Aang! I love it!" I said with a smile. I asked Neo to help me tie it around my wrist since I couldn't.
My best friend, at the time, turned his attention back to Sokka. "Great, Aang. Instead of saving the world, you can go into the jewelry making business," he said sarcastically.
"I don't see why I can't do both," Aang said with a bright smile.
Sokka scoffed and turned back to the river. The fish were hopping out of the water. "Stop taunting me!" he yelled. He pulled out one of his knives and jumped in the water, creating a big splash.
"So, how does it look?" I asked Aang, gaining his attention.
He turned to me and blushed. "You mean all of you or just your wrist? They both look great" he said sheepishly.
"Smoochie, smoochie. You better kiss the girl," Sokka teased with a fish in his hands. The fish started to squirm, causing him to fall back into the water.
Aang stammered nervously. "Stop teasing him, Sokka," Neo scolded with a smirk.
I grinned and wrapped an arm around Aang's waist. I leaned up and kissed his cheek softly before looking at Sokka. "Happy now?" I asked him. Aang had gone rigid, but I paid him no mind.
Sokka's jaw had dropped and so did the fish's. We heard a roar in the distance. "Someone's being attacked by a platypus bear," he yelled.
We hurriedly ran towards the sound. When we made it there, the bear was growling, threatening a man in blue.
He was smiling calmly at the bear. When he caught sight of us, his smile brightened. "Well, hello there! Nice day isn't it?" he asked us.
"Yeah! It's really beautiful," Neo said sarcastically.
