I was walking to the DX to get Steve. Me and him were going to a party at Buck's tonight. Normally I would always go to the DX and get Soda but now just me and Steve have been going out and going to parties. When I stepped in Steve was washing the car oil from his hands.
''Hey Ponyboy!'' Steve greeted me with a slap on the back.
''Sup. You ready for that party?''
''You know it Horseman.''
''I'm gunna get stoned and then I'm gunna get laid.'' I told him while lighting up a cigarette.
''Cool night.'' As me and him bullshitted Soda came out of the bathroom with dark circles under his eyes. It didn't look like he had slept for days.
''Hey buddy. Me and Pone are goin' to a party. You comin'?''
''No.''
''Oh okay. Hey Pone I gotta do somethin' I'll be ready in a minute.'' I looked at Soda and he looked at me. His eyes filled with pain and hatred when he looked at me. That made me feel like shit but I'm Ponyboy Curtis. I don't give a hang about what they think of me.
''Are you coming home tonight?''
''No.''
''What are you gunna be to busy gettin' in the bedroom.'' He said harshly. I looked at him with glassy eyes. He really does hate you.
''I'm outta here.''
''Ponyboy.''
''Shut up.'' I snapped back.
''You ready kid?'' Steve asked me.
''Yeah. Lets get the fuck outta here.''
Me and Steve were at the party for a while. I got really drunk. I mean wasted. My girlfriend was there too. Me and her went int the bedroom and fixed up for a while before we did anything. After we were done we got dirty. I was so drunk I hardly remembered anything the next morning. I just wake up and she had her arms wrapped around my waste, but hey I'm not complaining.
I got dressed and went to the bathroom so I could get dressed. I looked at my torso. I was really skinny. Well I should be. I do starve myself. I spend my money on drugs, beer, smokes, condoms, and I sometimes give Darry and Soda money for bills. So I never eat. I only eat some things but I'm not going to say it. It's really gross and you'll probably get sick. I am only 100 pounds after all. My girlfriend came in undress and almost puked at the sight of me.
''Dude you're really skinny.''
''You didn't say anything last night when I was on top of you.''
''I know but you get skinnier and skinnier every time I see you.'' I just kissed her and picked her up. She started to giggle.
''Pony don't. I'm naked!'' I put her on the bed and teased her.
''We'll continue this later.'' I said seductively. I went back i n the bedroom and got dressed. I went back to my girlfriend and gave her her cloths back. She was all dressed when Randy came through the door.
''Jeez you guys made a lot of noise. I couldn't hardly sleep.'' Randy moved in at Buck's when his parents kicked him out for becoming a greaser.
''Sorry. We were really havin' fun.'' Savannah said while smiling at me.
''Well Buck wanted me to give this to ya.'' He handed me an envelope. It was my paycheck.
''Thanks.''
''Yeah.'' Randy went back to his room. Savannah gave me a kiss and said she can't wait for me to finish her up. I always get my girls excited.
I walked to the bank and cashed in my check. Once I got the money I took out a hundred bucks and put it in an envelope. That was for Soda and Darry. I walked down to the DX to give it to Soda.
