"Hey! Chenle!"

He turned around at my voice and gave me a smile. "Hi Caixia," he greeted.

"Am... am I late?" I stopped in front of him and panted slightly, putting my hands on top of my head. My hair and jacket were covered with snow.

He chuckled quietly to himself and looked up at the sky. "Nah, I just came here too. You should be careful, you're a trainee and you'll really get it from your manager if you slip on the ice and injure yourself. I'd also be really worried sick."

"Don't worry, Chenle. I'm perfectly fine, see?" I did a twirl in front of him, making my dress swirl with me. I flashed him a smile and made a peace sign. He laughed and grabbed my hand. "Alright, alright. I get it. Let's just go inside now, it's freezing out here." He swung our hands back and forth as we entered the cafe.

"Caixia?" He turned to face me and we stopped walking abruptly.

"Yeah?"

"Don't ever leave my side, arasso?" He gathered me in and warm, comforting hug that made me feel safe. I felt right in his arms.

I felt a little taken aback at his words, though. Nevertheless, I answered, "I'll never leave you. I promise."

I sighed as I tried calling him for the fifth time. "Chenle, please pick up..."

"I'm sorry, the subscriber cannot be reached..."

"Aish!" I turned off my phone and stuffed it into my bag violently. I sat down on a bench with a frown on my face.

"Well okay, I'm pretty sure that's not the way to treat your phone." Loung came and sat down next to me. "Is something wrong?"

I sighed. "It's just that... Chenle hasn't been answering my calls all week. He isn't like this, he would call me back if he couldn't pick up his phone."

"Maybe he just lost his phone or something. Don't worry too much. Chenle is loyal to you. Trust me, I know my best friend. He would never do anything to hurt you. That's a promise."

I stayed silent and looked at the ground.

"Caixia."

I looked up at Loung to see her giving me a sad smile.

"Promise me that you'll make him happy. Making him happy was something I never could have done. Believe me, I tried. But I could never him smile. I could never make him smile... like the way he looks at you. He loves you, Caixia. Only you can make him happy. I can never make him as happy as the way you two are now. Promise me... and make him happier than I've ever made him. Don't make me regret my decision to let him go." I saw the tears starting to form in her eyes.

"Loung..." My hand reached out to lay on her shoulder.

"Promise me, Caixia. Promise me."

I nodded. "I'll make him smile. I promise."

I looked up from my warm drink to see a bright and smiling Chenle.
