Chapter 2: Union

-Astral Starfyre

The hall was filled with claps and cheers as the school band had finished playing the Canterlot High School rally , which was more melodious than our school's, Keyston Bridge Academy. Wow, I'm really looking down on my school.
After Mr.Frey and the principal made their speeches, everyone except us of course, exited the gym and entered their classes. I observed Mr. Frey having a chat with the principal yet again.
"So Crystal, what do we do next" I voiced to Crystal as my eyes dart around the gym, giving me more detail of the building.
"Well..." he paused and pulled out a piece of folded paper from his pocket. "First, we'll be going to a homeroom to get our attendance and lots more of briefing , a tour around the school. Then, we will go for each available classes. Lunch, and more classes and back to the homeroom and home with our host parents."

I glared at him in disbelief "You actually note what they said?"
"Duh! You wouldn't want to miss important information out, do you?"
I responded with a shrug.
That was when I felt a tug on my right arm. The strong momentum caused me to turn around only to see the one I've been looking for and longing to see. "H-"
She wrapped her arms around me before I can even say a word. That sudden and lovely gesture gave me a warm feel in the chest and my brain went haywire when I smelled the natural lavender scent from her purple hair which was curled up into a bun, now that's a feeling I never felt before. My cheeks suddenly started to heat up as a tinge of pink appeared on them.
She released her arms and I saw her familiar face yet she had different feel.
"It's good to see you Astral." She meekly said
I was at a lost of words and just stared at her as if she's a stranger or a person I no longer know. She was somehow more attractive even though she still has her nerdy glasses on. Finally, words entered my mine.
"Wow. Twilight." Not sure whether that was a good way to start a reply "You look... different"
A little giggle escaped her lips and she bit it. "I know, I-"
"Hey Twilight!" Someone shouted from behind, cutting her off.
It came from a pale-blue skin girl with rainbow colored hair. Man, some people can dye their hair to a point of over-the-top, but for the rainbow-colored hair girl, she took it to the next level. Unless that was her natural hair color then I can make that an exception.
"Say, didn't know you had a boyfriend outside of school" she said in a scratchy voice.
"Wha-I'm n-not her boyfriend" the same tinge of pink faded in my face as I struggled to get those words out.
"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight gave her a glare, blushing while Rainbow laughed and said "Let's just get going to class. Don't wanna be late"
Twilight then turned back to me "Guess I'll see you later at lunch?"
I nodded and waved goodbye to her as she walked to Rainbow Dash who was still teasing her.
I turned around to see evil smirks and little giggles on my friends' face. Dammit. I face palmed myself internally to stop the embarrassment and my cheeks from  turning red, again, but of course it wasn't working.
"Oh shut up" I said in an unamused tone while face palming myself for real. Oh the awkwardness was real.
One of them put his arm on my shoulder and he was the one who was tinkering with the prism back in the bus. "Astral...Astral, Astral" he said cheekily "Why you no tell us you have a girlfriend here?"
"Shin, for Pete's sake. We are just online friends. Nothing more nothing less."
He laughed "You don't have to hide it from us"
Yea...no.
Shin then dragged me aside with the weight of his arm. "Come, let me teach you a little something about gals."
"What do you know about girls?"
I actually wanted to respond with a dirty question like 'what? How to finger them?' But nah. That's too much.

Suddenly I was tugged again on my right arm. This time it was Crystal with an annoyed expression who tugged me "Ahem. We're leaving" He then steady his grip on my arm and dragged me to the front of the group as we continue to followed the line leaded by Mr. Frey of course. I glanced back at the line of friends behind me and saw Shin a few meters away from us and may I just say, he looked pissed. Guess he didn't like his conversation to be interrupted rudely.

We entered a classroom where we had left our luggage. I grabbed my blue duffel bag and black luggage bag and took the front seat next to Crystal. Name tags and identical notebooks were distributed to us. Mr. Frey then stood on a small platform in the front of the class next to a white board. Upon receiving the notebook I opened it to see a section to write in details.
"I want this name tag on you at all times in school. You are allowed to wear casual clothing to school as long as it is appropriate as well as the name tag must be worn. All of you are to report to this classroom every first period of school. If you are unable to attend school for some reason should that reason be valid, do inform me personally and via our chat group. Now open up the notebook and fill in the details. This notebook shall be kept with you at all times."
And so we filled in the details: Full name, original school, current school, ID, host parents name...

After minutes of briefing and going over some information filling, okay lots of information filling, it was time for a tour around the school. No, I won't be describing every little detail of the school while on the tour because that will just be straight up boring and jejune.

As we walked out of the classroom, we were greeted by another teacher. She had navy blue hair and a purple shirt. "Hello everyone, I am Vice Principal Luna and I'll be giving you a tour around the school. So, listen up and listen good." Her voice was quite stern especially her last few words. Vice Principal? I thought she was a disciplinarian.

Just want to let you guys know that the updating will slow down at the beginning of next year (2017) and I apologize for that. Damn the holiday's ending and time is short.
