Andrew

This was not good. I don't know what the hell happened to her, but my sister has undoubtedly snapped. The only thing that I can think of is that being under the controlling hand of our parents, she just couldn't take it any more. And I can't blame her. "Kat, calm down! Put the fucking scissors down!" Just as I shouted, dear old mom and dad just had to show up. Stopping dead in their tracks at the sight of their daughter, with scissors to her head. But their looks weren't of concern for her, but of anger.

"Katherina! Put those scissors down this instant!" Mother looked at her with, what I believe is horror? I can't tell with her face anymore.

"Fuck you!" We all stared at her, wide eyed and opened mouthed. In any other moment, I would applaud her. But right now she is holding scissors up to her head, and I am scared to see what she is planing to do with them. "I am tired of my life not being mine! I can't do anything without you two having been the ones to move my feet in the direction that you want them to. For god sake! I am a grown woman capable of making her own choices, but I have never been able to do that. I am done hurting others for your personal gain!" She opened the scissors and held them closer to her hair.

"Kat don't!" I reached for them, but she still managed to cut a good chunk of hair off before I took them away. We watched as her golden hair just landed on the floor.

"Disown me, kick me out, kill me if you have to. I don't give a fuck anymore! I regret bringing a child into this world, knowing he shares the same genes as this dysfunctional family. But I am thankful that he is in the hands of a man who will show him all the love that baby deserved." Tears of anger, and years of regret just started flowing freely from her eyes.

"That child will be apart of this family, with or without you here. The Harrisons and the the McClains will become one." I saw one of the guards reach for her, but I finally managed to make it in time for once. I punched him, and grabbed Kat before our parents could make another attempt to grab her. I put her into the passenger seat of my car, and drove away from the mansion. I could see them and the guards running out the door, so I sped up until they were too far behind.

"What the hell happened?!" I wanted to look at her, but kept my eyes on the road. "Don't get me wrong, I'm proud as hell. But what brought this on?!" We stopped at the lights, and I looked at her. She had this far away look on her face. "Kat?"

"I met Michael a few days ago. I got to know him Andrew." She was quiet for a while, but started talking once the light changed. "He's a sweet kid. He treats me so kindly, and looks at me like I'm special. I know it doesn't make much sense. But every man who I have ever tried to get close to, only ever sees me as one thing. Easy. Michael looked at me, as if I wasn't some disgusting sluty monster. He didn't treat me as cheap or worthless. He seems like a great kid. I can't fuck his life up Andrew, I can't." That kid doesn't know just how big an impact  he made on her. And from only a few days? I wanna meet this kid myself. He gave her the push needed to finally stand up to our parents. And all from just a few words.

"Let's go get your hair fixed. After that, I wanna take you somewhere." I started driving again once the lights turned green.

"Where's that?" I could feel her staring at me as I drove. But I kept it a secret.

"Just trust me." If I tell her now, she'll never agree to it. We stopped by a salon, and she had her hair cut and styled. The short hair didn't look bad on her, she looked more mature with it. After that, I drove to the location, and she almost jumped out the car window while I was still driving. I had to reach for her, because she started climbing out the damn window. If this wasn't a serious moment, it would be kind of a funny sight.

"Fuck that! I'm not going." I locked the car, and quickly ran to grab her as she tried to run off. I draped her over my shoulder kicking and screaming, and made my way to the door. I placed her down and knocked on the door, I responded to the glare staring at me with a blank expression.

"What are you doing here?" If I remember correctly, this is Jenny. She is like Carter's sister. She's cute, but too feisty for my liking.

"I'm here to see Val." I saw both of them look at me in surprise.

"Who the fu-" before she could finish, a slender hand covered her mouth.

"That's enough Jenny dear, it's okay." The shocked looked Jenny had was priceless. It matched the one Katherina was now sporting too.

"Val, what's going on?" She managed to get it out from behind Val's hand.

"Nothing dear." She smiled an innocent smiled, but you could tell she was telling her to leave it alone. But I heard Jenny is too hard headed, so she didn't listen. But Val seemed like she was expecting it.

"Please don't kill me for this later." Before either of us could do something, she bolted up the stairs screaming at the top of her freaking lungs. "Carter! Ethan!" She was up the stairs in a a matter of seconds. Great, just what we need. If I wasn't worried about my sister, I would have laughed from how funny she looked running up the stairs. Like a little kid in a cartoon or something.

"Andrew." I turned to look at my sister. Her blue eyes piercing almost right into my soul. "What the hell is going on? Why are we here?" Again, before me or Val could speak, everyone was down here. Does this family move as one or something?!

"Mother? What's wrong?" Ethan was holding my nephew. I wish I could hold him too.

"I swear this family will be the death of me one day." She sighed, and then turned to look at her family. "I will explain everything in the sitting room. Andrew, Katherina, come along." I followed her without a second thought, dragging a still confused Kat behind me. We sat on a two sitter next to Val, who was sitting in the middle of her husband and Charles'. Facing us were Carter and Ethan, with Nick now on Carter's lap. I just noticed how big he's gotten. I turned to look at Kat, and she had a pained look in her eyes. I hope I can finally help get rid of that look soon.

"K-k-kate?" Her head snapped to the right, and I saw a small sad smile grace her face. Last to walk in was the youngest of the McClain boys, Michael. And I do mean walk. He was no longer in his chair, but he was now using a walker. Thought he seemed to almost not need it as much.

"Michael. You're walking, I'm so glad." I saw James get up and pull Michael to his side. Michael seemed completely lost as to what was going on. Looking at everyone besides me and Val, they all looked like they had no clue. I guess Val really didn't tell them anything.

"I'm just gonna ask. What the hell are you doing here?" I briefly looked at Freddy, before looking at Val. She seemed calm as she told them the truth.

"He's working with me." A chorus of what's came from all of them. "After Nicholas' birthday, I went after Richard to speak to him, and Andrew also happened to be there. To get to the point. They have been helping me gather information against the Harrisons." And there you have it.

"Bet you didn't see that one coming." I leaned back in my seat, and waited to see what would happen next. You just never know what this family will do.
