Monday passed slowly. Tuesday passed slower. Wednesday was the date of my appointment with my attorney. Today was Thursday and the day Chris would be back home. I was dying to see him and touch him.
I sat at my desk working on various projects and checked the clock every couple of minutes trying to will it to 6:45 so that Chris would arrive at the office. It was close to lunch time and it was Whitney's turn to bring us sandwiches. We had both been so busy with the next clothing release and hadn't had our regular lunch breaks.
Whitney opened the office door with her ass before tossing me a sandwich and setting her sandwich down with a giant bag of chips. Next she walked into Christopher's office and grabbed a bottle of scotch and two glasses.
"We are not drinking Chris' alcohol Whitney. Put it back." I tried to get the bottle of alcohol out of her hand but was unsuccessful. "Seriously stop being a bitch."
"Chris likes you Ally. You're crazy if you think I'm not gonna take advantage of the situation." Whitney poured the scotch and swirled it before swigging it back.
"Calm down. Even if Chris walks through that door and says you're both fired- we will have a great story to tell our grandchildren.""Yeah except I'm not trying to get fired Whitney." I was annoyed but sat down and ate my lunch.
"So what have you been up to with Chris gone?" Whitney asked as she swigged down another portion of ultra expensive scotch.
"I've just been staying on top of everything. His appointments and the models, the location for the photo shoot. I had a meeting with my attorney yesterday." I knew what Whitney was actually asking for.
"Has he texted you while he's been gone?" Whitney took a bite out of her sandwich and gave me sad puppy eyes.
"Yes, about work stuff." I refused to make eye contact.
"Nothing about extra curricular activities?" Whitney winked at me and I tried not to blush.
"No," I laughed. "But he did mention taking our girls to pizza some time next week."
"And maybe a little wine and some hot and heavy making out?" Whitney was teasing me.
"Who had some wine and hot and heavy making out?" Chris laughed.
"No one." Whitney answered the question defensively.
"Are you enjoying my scotch? You know it's seven thousand dollars a bottle right?" Whitney spit out her sip of scotch upon hearing the information.
"Seven thousand dollars. Who the fuck spends that much on alcohol? Geeze, Breezy calm down. Don't spend all your fortune." Whitney poured herself some more before handing Chris the bottle.
"What have you pretty ladies been up to this week?" Chris asked more directed at me, but was trying to get info out of Whitney.
"Ally was just telling me about her divorce appointment. She's not getting a damn thing. Her ex is literally a pos and trying to get full custody of Lux." Whitney babbled what I had told her while I was texting her last night.
Chris looked visibly angry. "What the fuck is wrong with him? He has a fucking child with you. He should be a little gracious."
"I know Chris," I looked him somberly in the eyes, "His plan is to give me zero dollars and he's hoping I don't have a job so he can take full custody of our daughter and make me look like an unfit mother."
"This shit is insane." Whitney stated the obvious, "you can't write this kind of evil in books or movies."
"Well the good news is you have a job pretty lady. Enjoy your lunch ladies." Chris entered his office and stayed there for a long while.
