The next day Chris and I woke up late and decided to take the girls to the beach. Christopher started the engine on the car, looked at me and tucked a piece of my hair back, before putting the car in gear and exiting the gates of his home.

I sat awkwardly in the front seat of his Bentley. I wanted to say something, anything really, but I couldn't because I was the one that wanted space. I was the one that wanted to stop having sex with him. I was the one that was a fucking liar. I wanted to have sex with Chris and I didn't want any space between us. I wanted to hang out with him and our girls and be there for his daughter. Royalty was so special and she deserved to have a mom, but that wasn't for me to decide.

"Why are you being so quiet?" Chris looked into the rearview mirror of his car and stared at the girls quietly playing on an iPad in the back seat.

"I don't know." I answered with a lie.

"Please don't shut me out Ally. I can see it all over your face." Chris grabbed my hand and laced his fingers with mine before planting a kiss on the back of my hand.

"See what?" I asked not one-hundred percent sure what he meant.

"You are in a liar. You'd marry me right now if you could." Chris smirked placing my hand on his knee. "You want to be Royalty's mom and God knows it."

It was true, every bit, I'm a liar and I would marry Chris in a heart beat if I was single. I didn't want to admit defeat though, so I just pressed my lips together and kept my mouth shut. It'd be great if the girls could start being annoying and just start screaming or being little drama queens at this very moment, but as luck would have it they were quiet as can be.

The drive to Malibu from Chris' house was 3 hours even though it was only 40 miles away. Typical Southern California driving conditions. I just continued to sit awkwardly and felt stupid for agreeing to come with Chris and the girls to the beach. I should have let him take them alone. He could have handled it easily.

I looked at my phone as it was ringing. It was my soon to be ex-husband. Dear God could today get any worse? I wanted to answer the phone just stop the awkward moment between Chris and I but I decided against it.

"Who's calling?" Christopher asked as we got into the beach access parking.

"My ex." I huffed out a big breath of air.

"Let me answer it babe." Chris took the phone out of my hand before I could even protest.

"Hello Ally." Hearing his voice made my stomach churn in knots.

"Actually she isn't here right now." Chris responded

"Who the hell is this?" He asked Chris obviously pissed off.

"The guy that's fucking her." Chris answered like a jealous boyfriend- I guess he was entitled to it...we were fucking all except the last 12 or so hours.

"Can you put Ally on the phone?" I could hear the distress in his voice.

"I sure can't," Chris antagonized my ex.

"Why not?" He was losing patience.

"Because she's got her mouth on my dick." And with that Chris hung up on him.

"Really?" I asked with a cocked eyebrow.

"I feel like being a jerk is the right thing to do." Chris smiled and touched my hair again. "I know you're afraid cause of how he fucked you over and I just want you to know I'm never gonna hurt you."
