It was a windy day in the big apple, just like any other.
Despite the snow the cars were loud as ever.
I was sitting there pouring my mind out into my journal, which I got on my thirteenth birthday. I stumbled upon it one day as I was cleaning out my room. It came in use a lot of use when I was angry at my parents. I then hear a loud crash coming from the window.
I throw down my pen and run to the window as I hear my name coming from my friend josh. He screams the nickname he's been calling me since 3rd grade. "Lil Lily!" I look out the window to see him crashed into my garbage can. I shut the window and walk down stairs and out the door to help him up. "I've told you a MILLION times my names Lillian!", "but your just so cute and short!!" Said josh in his baby voice. I roll my eyes and we walk down the street to get hot chocolate. I turn my head and notice the snowflakes in his hair, I couldn't help but look. I shake them off saying "you got a little dandruff." I say humorously. He laughs as we reach Starbucks entrance and he holds the door open for me.
~~~
we walk out of there on full stomachs noticing that it's already dusk. I hug him goodnight and head back home.
I come home to an empty house as usual my mother is out late at work.
I go upstairs to my bedroom and find that it is locked and that's peculiar , one my room wasn't locked or the door wasn't closed when I left to go with josh. I then go back down stairs to get a key to unlock the door. I'm back at my door and unlock the door not knowing what's behind it, I open it slowly to see my bedroom a mess and the window open. I go to look out of it to see a man running away in the distance away from the house with a bag of my belongings.
