He takes our trays chucking the left over food into the bin.I link arms with him.Its so nice just to get some fresh air.These past few days have been so difficult and without Elliot I would have been more of a wreck than I already am.
We get in Elliot's car and he winds the windows down and puts an Artic monkeys cd in,cranking the music up loud as he pulls out of the hospital car park.
Things seem to be so different with Elliot,so relaxed.I don't have to prove anything to him,I can just be myself around him and he loves me that way.He has put up with so much shirt with me over the past few days.The hole journey home is silent as we sing loudly and out of tune to the music,it sort of remind me of the time me and Luke did a similar thing.Its hard,I like Elliot but first I have to learn to leave Luke in the past.Things between me and him are dead a buried.
I laugh as tussles of hair fly around in front of my face.Elliot laughs before closing the windows slightly and turning the music down.
We arrive on Elliot's drive way and remove the ignition.He turns the key in the lock and enters the house.
"Mum it's me and Ronnie" He calls through the house.Nobody answers
"Mum" He calls again,peeping his head round the living room door.
I wipe my shoes on the mat and we walk down the hallway and peep out the back doorway.I lay eyes on her and she smiles.
"Hey baby" She gets up,class of wine in one hand as she hooks the other arm to hug me.
"How's mum doing?" She ask kissing me in the cheek as she sits back down around the fire in the garden and crosses her legs on the chair,pulling a blanket over her body.
She looks over her shoulder at Elliot "Babe get Ronnie a blanket oh and bring out the snacks please" She tells him
"Nice to see you too mum" He jokes
"Don't sass me young man" She mocks taking another gulp of her wine

"Yeah she actually woke up today" I announce
"That's wonderful baby girl,take a seat hun" She pats the chair next to her.I do as I'm told and sit next to her.
"How are you feeling my darling?" She questions hugging me.
"I'm fine I guess,as good as I can be" I tell her
"Good girl,stay strong my girl" She pats me on the shoulder
"Tracy,I can't Thankyou enough for letting me stay here.It means a lot" I mention
