"Hey, Erza." You walked directly over to the table where she was sitting, and took a seat across from her.

"Hello, (M/n), how can I help you?" She asks, looking up from a book she was reading. You noticed a bit of difference in how the light reflected in her left eye more so then the right one.

"Well, I wanted to ask about this." You bring up the monster hoard sheet, which had the large S in the corner. "What does that refer to?"

She looks at the symbol, then sighs, as if used to the question. "It means this quest is more difficult then the others, and requires a higher class mage then usual."

You put on a small frown, as if disappointed. "Alright. Well, Lucy and I were about to go on a job. I just wondered if you wanted to join us."

The effect was like drinking coffee full of sugar. It was like Erza's spine grew two inches, and her eyesight sharper. "All alone, or were you going to bring someone?"

You keep your face blank, but you had a smile on your soul. "We just invited you, maybe Wendy if she said yes. The job recommended to have three or four people."

She seemed to relax ever so slightly, and she returned. "I suppose I can spare a day or two."

You pick up the paper on the table, then say. "Alright! I'll go check with Mira, and we'll be all set. See you in ten."

30 minutes Later

You saw the three girls standing outside the train station, waiting for you. Wendy had a small backpack, which seemed to be stuffed. Lucy had a small carry-on bag, as well as holding a book for the trip.

Erza, however, seemed to have brought a few years worth of clothing. The stack of suitcases and bags towered over them, as well as everyone walking in the general area.

You arrived, having run there for nearly ten minutes, had to catch your breath. In between breaths, you ask. "So.. did the.. Train.. leave yet?"

Wendy looks at you, and her glance had a small look of pity to it. "No, and we still have 10 minutes until the train leaves. Don't worry about it."

You look up, and with your breath mostly under control, you reply. "Thank you, but it feels rude to have kept you guys waiting." You tried to keep a fair mood and attitude, and they seemed to relax.

Erza looks at a clock on the wall, then addresses the group. "We had better get to the train."

As you start to enter the building, you thought you heard someone mutter a pained curse. You turn around, but there wasn't anyone around you, but there was a flash of orange going behind a pillar.

You disregard it for a minute, and run to catch up with the others.

After a small wait, you were sitting in a train car, looking out the window. You disliked being on trains. You didn't have motion sickness, but you always felt unwell in closed spaces, full of unknown people. Paranoia did have it's drawbacks.

As the train departed, Wendy started to ask. "So, what is the job we're taking?"

You give a small smile, then respond. "Which job?"

Wendy gives a look of confusion, but Erza responds in her place. "What do you mean, which job? Isn't that what we left for?"

You give her a full smile, then say. "Check your pocket, Wendy."

As Wendy stands up, she reaches into her pocket, and pulls out a folded piece of paper. It was the dark guild job, and as she unfolds it, she gives a small gasp of surprise. "When did that get in there?"
