"Wait, if we went there first, would this have been different?" Wendy asks, the question everyone else asked.

The conversation paused for lunch, everyone had eaten quietly to enjoy the food and digest the information in front of them.

"No, it would have been more confusing. We just need to make sure this ends tomorrow. There aren't any tracks that lead out to that town. But they do have a cart rental place. But i want us to stay tonight, so we can prepare properly." You say, picking up dishes and taking them to the sink.

"How would it be confusing?" Natsu asks, leaning back in his chair.

"Because either nothing would have been there, or there would have been things running around with no one there to have made them. But now, we have a clear target."

They look up, and nod while considering. It appeared they had grown more accustomed to random strategic terms coming from you.

"Alright, we know where they are. How are we going to keep them there? They have means to teleport out of there whenever they want." Erza points out, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"True. But let me ask you a question. Where do they have to go? This house was probably their main hall. Now that its cleared out, there will be those who ensure people don't repopulate it. But we need to take out their fallback position."

"So let's go, then!" Natsu yells, bored of the endless talking.

"Alright then. Let's go fight the shadow wizard in the dead of the night of a full moon, with several hours until sunrise. With one person who has the easiest magic to counter, three people with heavily drained powers, and two people injured to the point of needing rest." You say, pointing towards the door.

Natsu grits his teeth, and stays where he is.

"So, I'm going to right up an invoice of this job, and see about what I have for swarms of disposable minions. Let's use tonight to talk over what all happened, and how best to parry and counter those moves." You walk over to the table, and bring up several journals on the open space.

"Your talking about the shadow creatures, right?" Wendy asks.

"Of course I am. Who else would I be talking about?" You reply, starting to flip through notebooks. Without even looking up, you can feel their stares drilling into your head. You just avoid the looks, because it would only take one of them getting a notion for all of them to attack. A line to be avoided at all costs.

As they start to head off to the other room, Lucy stays back a minute. "Would you like any help with all this? I'm not that tired."

You look up at her, and push over a small stack of notebooks. "Another set of eyes could always be useful. These are the records of everything I've done for the past eight years. There are a few parts you might read that should stay between us, okay?"

She nods, and takes out a red pair of reading glasses. "Sure. Me and Levy are usually the only readers in the guild, so we have these. They help increase speed and comprehension."

You look at them, and indeed they looked like that brand of item. You had a pair a while back, but they had been traded away to Sarah. "Nice. Always wanted one of those. They would make this almost bearable."

"I guess your not prepared for everything like you said, then. What would people think?" She says, while taking a seat. The sarcasm was clear, but it was more theatric that rude. Like a joke between old friends.

You smile, and push over a few more journals. "I have a lot more of these if you want to do more work." Then, you call up a small table, almost like one would have at the side of their bed. In it was two cups, and a familiar jug. After Lucy give an astonished look, you pour an amount into the glasses.
