Final Confrontation: Part 3

(Your P.O.V.)

So that brilliant plan? Charge straight for the side exit, and hope they don't hit our backsides.

At least the others quickly got the point, and joined the tactical retreat. As an added bonus, the mages seemed shocked by the fact that we decided to run further into their house. So they didn't attack or pursuit until we were around the corner. Sadly, at that point, they could be heard charging right at you, but it was much quieter then them all attacking, so it would appear that only a good half were following.

"So this is your plan?" Gray yells, having been in the middle of the group. Erza and Natsu had become the leaders, running at the front of the group, while you, Lucy, and Wendy became the back row.

"Sorry, but this is most of the plan. Trying to split the party of mages, and give us proper time to recover and plan." Compared to the others, you were only jogging, so your endurance was hardly taxed.

"They're over there!" You didn't have to turn around to know who it was. It sounded like Morrígan, and she was leading the charge.

Wait, there was a fork in the hallway! And it only had two directions to go down: left or right.

"Guys, fork in the path." Erza calls out, so now everyone is privy to the information.

"Gray and Lucy! Take the left turn. Erza, take Natsu and Wendy down the right corridor." You call out, starting to speed up to be next to the others.

She turns back to you, searching for a reason to do this. And you gladly had one.

"Natsu and Gray trounced the same number of people in the hall back there, and they would split up further to deal with us doing so. You and me are working pretty well as front line beaters, and don't forget Lucy and Wendy are holding the back fairly well. It makes sense to split up, and make out escape back to the town."

The others exchange glances. You were the newest member, and trying to call the shots. They were going to make the decision, with or without your input.

Luckily, the chasers sped along the debating process by starting to throw their spells. You'd have to thank them by leaving them alive when this was done.

"Guys, split up! We'll meet back up outside!" Erza says, veering to the right. Following her lead, Natsu and Wendy angle to follow her.

(Morrígan P.O.V.)

The nerve of these brats. Not only do they storm our house and attack our members. They have the nerve to run right through us into the halls, gallivanting about like it was a summer stroll. Unbelievable. This situation was downright inconceivable!

So, with half of us chasing them down, the others were recovering and making their ways to the exits. The plan was to cut them off, or take them down. But until then, we just follow. Follow intruders in our own home! When they finally start to slow, it was the perfect chance to start blasting them from a distance. But then they split at one of a dozen forks in the halls.

As we finally get there, the left group was nowhere in sight, while the one on the right had only made it part of the way to a turn. The red head swords woman, the pink haired pyro, and the little blue haired girl who stayed in the back.

This whole thing makes me want to grind my teeth, but I have to keep a level head. That was what I was being paid for. With a wave of a hand, a little gust was wiped up, spinning like a tornado.

"Hey, Drayden." Morrígan says, letting some anger vent into her voice. "The brats have split up. The little loud mouth guy took the blonde and brunette. They're heading for the study. I'll handle the others, who are running into the library."
