Always Suspicious

Gray and Wendy had been walking through the town, and had been able to talk to a few people.

"Well, at least we got something done." Gray says, holding a notebook in his hand. (M/n) had given it to him for this, but it was more then a hassle to write everything down.

"Um, Gray." Wendy says, pointing at his midriff.

As he looks down, he realized he had been walking around without his shirt again. "Ah, come on."

And then, a loud explosion, and a fireball comes from the west side of the village.

"What was that?" Carla says, having just landed. She had been flying over the city, but now she was back with Wendy and Gray.

"Probably Natsu again. Lets go find out." Gray says, slipping on his button down shirt.

(Natsu and Erza third P.O.V.)

"I'm hungry" Natsu says, rubbing his stomach.

"Lets just ask a few more people then we'll find the others." Erza says, walking on.

This was the second or third time he brought up stopping for food.

"Natsu, how do you feel about (M/n)?" She asks, slowing down for just a second. She seemed uncomfortable having left Lucy alone with the guy.

"He's a real piece of work, but I trust him. Why?" Natsu asks, not noticing the tone she was using.

"Just wondering." She replies, playing it off as casual conversation. She couldn't place her finger on it, but something just wasn't right with him.

And, just as before, or rather right now, a fireball from the west.

"Natsu, did you do that?" Happy asks, a scared look in his eyes.

"No, I'm right here." Natsu replies, a confused look on his face.

"Lets go, then! It could be the others!" Erza says, and runs towards the blast zone.

(Your P.O.V)

You wipe the blood from the corner of your mouth, a grin on your face.

Lightning had gotten up after a minute, having fainted from the pain. But now he was ticked off, throwing bolts like they were going out of style. He soon got the shield treatment from Light, but it was clear she was running on fumes. She was so exhausted with protecting the three you were fighting, she couldn't attack or protect the two fighting Lucy. Heck, she could barely stand.

Lucy and Leo were handling Bloody Nose and Lecher with little problems. Lucy had her whip in hand, and would have given you a run for your money. Leo was using offense based Light magic, and he was doing pretty good. Lecher was using his knife to parry each whip lash, and Bloody Nose was throwing his cards, causing strange things to happen. Sometimes an arrow, or a fire ball, even a small blizzard pointed right at the other two. But they dodged most of it, only having tossed hair or a rip in their clothes.

Smoke and Sound were dodging behind tables, throwing an attack every other cover. A blast of sound, a smoke dagger. They were creative, you'd give them that.

But now you were on your heels, spinning and blocking the oncoming blows. With Amaterasu, you would parry the lightning, or send a slash of light back. With Tsukuyomi, you kept up a shield from the smoke attacks. You had a pair of headphones on, blaring music in your ears. They blocked sound based assault, but you could hear them yelling over your song.

The patrons ducked behind the bar, and the woman looked extremely angry. She was even tossing bottles of alcohol into the fray. Mostly they just broke, or took a projectile for you, spilling vodka and rum all over your clothes.
