***********************Katelyn's POV
"What happened," I groaned holding my head to ease the constant pounding sensation. I look around and noticed that my surroundings are different. As I stood I was finally able to recall what had happened.
"That's right that girl paralyzed me..." I whispered to no one other than myself. "Zach must've left, I really shouldn't have such high hopes for someone I just met-" Suddenly the thought finally occurred to me. "No there's no way" I exclaimed shaking away such false thoughts.
I examined the room that I was currently in and noticed it was different from the previous one and the halls. The walls were a creamy white decorated with some blood spots and splatters here and there. When I finally examined the dull white tiled floor I noticed a trail with black gooey liquid that lead behind a table that looked like the ones at a doctor's office or a lab. The trail got bigger as I followed it behind the table ,letting my curiosity get the best of me, not only to find the end of the trial but a male's body that's eyes , ears and mouth which oozed with the black substance. I gagged at the horrible sight as the scent l attacked my nose.
"See something you like?" A familiar yet shocking voice spoke. This instantly caused me to turn away from the disordered body and look at him.
"What?! Of course not!" I scolded which somehow had a string of amusement he caught."Don't worry I killed him already," My expression went completely blank as he said this but somehow he still managed to pull a smirk but this one seemed a little…dark. That's when I realised he noticed my unsettlement. "Kate he was already dead to begin with as you can see ,you really shouldn't worry about people dying up to this point...trust me"
Why would he say something like that and expect me to trust him even though we just met. Knowing myself I wouldn't say that in front of people or at least be truthful when I know it'll make me sound weak so instead I translated it. "Yeah but still he was a hu-"
"Out of everything else he was anything but human"
"... Zach what's wrong with you all of a sudden-" my words were instantly cut from the odd looking medical supplies that was once in the support of Zach's arms, slamming on the table. The room was filled with an eery and unsettling silence.
After what seems like hours Zach finally made at least a sound when he sighed. "You know your pretty damn heavy right?" As clever as he was,he changed the subject then made a genuine smile leaving my face to heat up in embarrassment."W-Well I'm not the one who's weaker than a...snail" I turned my face trying to hide the rapidly growing smile on my face when I noticed that Zach's was confusion.
"Out of everything else you had in that little brain of yours, you choose a snail?" He joked.
"Well what else was I supposed to say since you know the answer" I asked crossing my arms playfully.
"I don't know at least something with arms," I shook my head and finally decide to ask the newly bugging question on my mind. "So Zach what's with the-" Not another word left my mouth as an entire wave of pain rushed up my arms, somehow leaving me with another headache, thankfully not as bad as the last one.
Before I knew it I was on a flat surface which I assumed to be the table of the previous owner...if they were still alive."So how do your feel now?" He asked as softly and audible enough for me to hear and not make a loud noise with his soothing yet husk voice. I nodded deciding not to say a word until the pain eased. Eventually it faded like clouds passing trough the sun's afternoon glow except for one spot that refused to leave.
I turned my head to see what was the cause until my gaze caught Zach's hand holding my right arm along with a needle filled with a night green coloured substance leading into my arm.
Before I could freak out or even do something about it, he took it out and then wiped the spot the needle was once placed in with a damped cotton. "Where the heck did you get a needle from?!" I scolded as he gave me a confused look when he placed the empty needle in the medical case. "Not to mention medical supplies." A moment of silence stopped me in my tracks as I noticed something odd. Seeing Zach handling medical supplies made me think...wait a minute he really is-"Doctor Rondell's son..." And with that Zach stopped as if his whole world had come to an immediate stop.
