I'm scared...
"And that's the last one!" He said removing the last of Zach's hidden knives. "Geez 28 knives all hidden...what are you a salesman?" There was no reply from either of the two souls, but the third spoke once more. "Well if you want to play stubborn..." Pheros walked away from our tied up bodies to a table. "We'll just start."
He inspected our wounds to make sure they weren't yet infected but still leaked the crimson substance, that's until Zach's wound was stared at for a while. It was hard for me to look away and not inspect Pheros, but I did just that. He wore a black pants along with a black shirt aside from the sleeves which were black with white stripes with small hints of red as if it was forcibly washed but refused to surrender. His sleeves were somewhat bigger than his arm...'Now that I think about it... He seems a lot younger...wait a minute how old this kid?!'
I noticed his gaze adjusted to mine. His eyes were grey in colour but slightly darker which reminded of Zach. I unraveled my gaze from Pheros' to meet Zach. I noticed blood trickling down his jacket from his cheek, soaking into it from the new wound along with his shoulder which continued to fade in the darkness of Zach's jacket which had a skull in the center, imprinted in white. "I thought I'd make the game easier by having something on your arms...but" he then walked closer to me watching my face. I took this opportunity to spit in his face and try to escape but the straps along my body were too tight for me to make any progress. I felt an menacing pain across my cheek which was soon led by a few trails of some warm substance.
"D-did you cut me?" I whimper already knowing the answer.
"No sherlock I sprayed ketchup on your cheek" he commented, dosing his words with nothing but sarcasm as he scrubbed the saliva away with his hand, looking at it in disgust. "Ewwww and I wasn't even going to hurt you!"
"Can we just get this over with!" The first soul finally spoke. Both of our attention snapped to Zach's direction.
'Wait...Zach hasn't moved from the current position at all..orrr I'm just crazy'
Pheros must have agreed with the idea since he started to explain, walking away from me to the center of Zach and I. "There are six tests you have to do in order to carry on with your journey. Kindness, generosity, honesty, laughter and the other two are a surprise." The fear I had before was replaced by curiosity but of course the overwhelming fear faltered like a beat missing its sound for a quick millisecond. I looked over to Zach once more and noticed his expression changed the same pace as my fear.
'Was he scared? Or maybe the straps were on too tight on him?...hmm but still, not a single sign of movement'
My mind eventually wandered off into millions of random facts and options. That was until Pheros continued to speak, snapping me out of my trance. "Players must have at least two sources of pain, visible or not, as a marker they'll have to remember." He paused for a brief minute as I let his words sink in like a titanic slowly boarding the depths of the sea.
"Why do we have to be marked?""Simple my dearest! I decided to clone one of you so don't be surprised!"
"Can you please start this damn thing I'm getting cramps!" Zach exclaimed notifying us in a unsettling way.
Pheros eventually laughed with all his might as Zach said this. "What are you a girl!?" He said in between his laughs. I felt slightly offended but released a small giggle.
"Mostly a gorilla getting cramps" I stated laughing after a few giggles.
"HAR HAR HAR" Zach began, "Your freaking lucky I'm tied up Kate!"
I couldn't keep a serious face when I saw Zach's was a little flustered which I founded kind of cute... 'Wait did I really say that? Well I didn't say it but I did thought it which is very bad! Maybe it was like a kid or puppy cute! Or even his his...uhhh NOSE!-'
"Kate!" A voice interrupted my unsettling thoughts.
"I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING!" I basically screamed for no odd reason. Relising my surroundings I noticed both Zach and Pheros watching me with an odd look until Pheros smirked.
"Before I send you guys off your way I'm giving you a little tip" All undivided attention was eventually switched to Pheros' direction in a slightly confusing manner. "Don't believe everything you hear or see because now in this dimension kindness is a sin."
