Sherlock POV
It was Christmas day, and (Y/N), John and Ms. Hudson were all in the living room, watching me play. I had taught (Y/N) how to play in the months that had passed. She smirked at me and clapped as I finished the piece with a flourish.
"Lovely Sherlock, lovely!" said Ms. Hudson, a little bit tipsy. I waved my bow at her, and she giggled at me. A lot a bit tipsy.
"Very good, Sherlock." (Y/N) nodded at me, acting like my violin instructor. "I wish you would've wore the antlers though..."
"Some things are better left to the imagination, (Y/N)." I said, throwing her a sharp glare. A dark haired woman walks into the room, carrying a tray mince pies and cake. She looks at me, motioning towards the cake.
"No thank you, Sarah." I say, trying to be polite. Her face falls, and John rushes by her side and puts her arm around her.
"Oh, no no no no, he's not good with names..." John said, shooting a glare at me.
"No, no, I can get this one." I said, rather cockily. She puts the tray down and straightens up, folding her arms. "No, Sarah was the doctor; and then there was the one with the spots; and then the one with the nose; and then ... who was after the boring teacher?"
She clears her throat and bounces on her toes. "Nobody." She said dully.
"Janette!" I say, grinning falsely at her. "Process of elimination." I see (Y/N) cover her mouth, trying not to laugh. Janette and John walk away awkwardly. I turn towards the door and see Molly walking in. "oh dear lord." I think out loud, and (Y/N) turns towards the door.
"Hello, everyone. Sorry, hello." She smiles shyly, walking into the room with two bags, most likely filled with presents. (Y/N) and John walk over to greet her, smiling. "Er... it said on the door to come up."
I roll my eyes. "Oh, everybody's saying hello to each other. How wonderful!" I said sarcastically as Molly smiles nervously at me.
John stands ready to take her coat as she nervously takes it off.
"Holy Mary!" John said in amazement as Molly revealed her dress. (Y/N)'s jaw dropped as she looked her up and down.
"Wow! Give us a spin, then!" (Y/N) said, walking over to her as John took her coat. Molly giggled nervously.
"Having Christmas drinkies, then?"
I walk over to the table, sitting down. "No stopping them, apparently." I said, opening John's laptop and typing on it. John pulls a chair up for Molly.
"Have a seat."
"John." I called him over.
"Hm?" John walks over to me as Lestrade offers Molly a drink.
"The counter on your blog: still says one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five." I said, pointing to the numbers on the screen.
"Ooh no!" He said sarcastically, "Christmas is cancelled." I pointed to the side of the screen in annoyance.
"And you've got a picture of me in that hat!"
"People like the hat."
"No they don't, what people?" I said, turning back to the computer as John walks away. Molly takes the drink from Lestrade, a glass of red wine.
"Thank you. I wasn't expecting to see you. I thought you were gonna be in Dorset for Christmas." She said sweetly, taking a sip of the wine.
"That's not until next morning. Me and the wife, we're back together. Everything's sorted." He said.
