Sherlock POV

Her cabbie came to a screeching stop at the cab. My breath hitched in my throat as I realized it was time to see her. Time to see the girl I love for the first time 2 years.

John called her in complete distress, blabbering on about how I was alive and how I was back. You know, after he punched me in the face.

She payed the cabbie and stepped out of the car into the chilly late night air, frost shuddering out of my mouth slowly.

"John! Mary! It's been too long!" She said awkwardly, trying to make light of the situation. I shifted uncomfortably in the light, trying to make myself nonexistent. John just stared at me with angry eyes and jerked his head to the left, obviously trying to turn
(Y/N)'s attention to something. That something was me.

She slowly turned my head to the side to see me, the dimly lit figure standing beside John. It was getting to the point where I could barely breath when I heard her breath stop for a few seconds.

"S-Sherlock?" She managed to stutter out as my hands began to shake. She immediately shut her eyes and clenched her fists. "No." She said desperately, squeezing her eyes shut. "You're not real!" She nearly shouted.

I took a slow step towards her, stepping into the light. Her eyes were still squeezed shut, and she looked scared. I took a few more steps towards her.

"(Y/N)." She visibly shuddered at my voice, sending a bit of hurt throughout my body. I tried to shake it off as I took a few more small steps towards her. "It's me. Don't be afraid."

"I'm not afraid!" She yelled, snapping her eyes open. Though we both knew that she was, I could see it in her (e/c) eyes. The normal spark was gone from them, it was replaced with betrayal and hurt.

I started to walk up to her until we were nearly chest to chest. "Sherlock..." That was all she could say before her knees buckled and she fell into his arms. I lifted her dead weight up somehow as she started to cry into my chest.

She melted into my arms as I held her tight. She started to sob and shake in my arms as warmth spread throughout her.

"(Y/N). It's okay... I'm back now. You're okay now." My voice broke at the end as I buried my head in her hair, taking in her scent. I hadn't seen her in 2 years and every second killed me. I took a deep breath as I began to deduce her.

Trembling. Cold? No. Heightened Anxiety. Thinner, 14 lbs. Feeling betrayed, lonely, scared. Pulse elevated, beating at an unsteady base. Her emotions were everywhere. Pale, almost never goes outside. Smells of musk, tea and dust; she still lives at 221B, unable to get back on her feet. Unable to find a job, doesn't want to leave the flat. Ms. Hudson is all she has left, John is all she has left. Mary visits once in a while, John is 'too busy'.

I hugged her tighter as I made my last deduction, this poor lost girl, all alone in a scary world.

"Sherlock I missed you so much." She sobbed, loosening her grip on me a bit.

"I missed you to." I said, voice breaking a bit more than I intended and pulled her out of the hug.

"I have a lot to say to you." She said, anger rising in her voice a bit, still teary-eyed and hoarse voiced.
