All Grown Up – 3
CODY
I was walking in school and saw Grant coming my way. I turned to walk the other way but his beef head friends were there. “Where you going Cody?” he smirked.
“Uh...Just...Um” I looked around “Class?” I asked more than stated. There was kids around, non of them were helping.
“Are you sure about that?” I nodded looking at him. “You didn't just try and run” he smirked.
“N-no?” It came out more like a question.
He chuckled and stepped towards me. “Leave him alone Grant” I looked up and saw Seth hand in hand with the photographer from the football field. Grant looked at Seth and the boy “Looky here it's Faggy and his boyfriend” he chuckled. “Trying to stick up for one of the Famous boys?” he smirked.
“You and I both know that if you hurt Cody, there will be a lot of powerful people who will look for some kind of payback.” Seth stated. “Not to mention that it will get out to the public that Cody got bullied at this school and the school will be forced to do something about it, something like expelling you” This time Seth smirked. The boy next to Seth smiled at Seth's bravery.
Grant walked off mumbling something to himself. I smiled at Seth “Thanks Seth” he smiled back at me.
“No problem, this is Connor” I smiled at Connor and nodded my head.
“Nice to meet you” they soon had to go and I walked to class. I walked into class and took a seat next to my best friend Becca, I smiled at her “How are you this fine morning Bec?” I asked her. She smiled and giggled a bit.
“I'm great, you?” she responded, her smile still on her face. She always had that smile when she was with me. She had light brown hair that went to her shoulders and brown eyes to go with it. The teacher walked in and I groaned.
Mr. Henry started to talk about something to do with Maths. I wasn't listening, I was too busy watching the world out side “Cody?” I looked up and raised my eyebrows. “Can you please tell me what I last said?” he asked.
“You said my name?” I smiled at him, knowing that was not what he meant. He wrote down something in his planner and looked up at me.
“I'll see you in detention” I rolled my eyes.
I heard Becca laughing slightly at me. I looked at her and then smiled “Funny huh?” she just nodded. I shook my head with the smile still on my face, I then looked at the teacher and listened for the remaining 10 minutes or so.
When the bell went I got up and smiled “FOOOD!” I shouted. I had Food Tech next, which meant I could cook, then I could eat, and I loved doing both.
By the time I was back home I saw my dad and Uncle Harry “Hey Dad, Uncle Louis” I said walking in to the kitchen where they were. Uncle Louis gave me a hug then left, saying 'I'll leave you to it' to my dad, I looked at my dad in confused way “What's up dad?” I asked.
“You know how you wanted to see if you could find your parents?” I nodded. I sat down next to him “Well, I have a letter that they gave to you” he said pulling it from his bag “But, I did read it, and I'm glad I did, you might not get what you wanted from reading it, and you don't have to, not now, not ever” I took the envelop from his hands and looked at the outside of it.
What is in it that dad thinks I can't handle, I looked up at him “Is is really that bad?” I asked. He pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead.
“If you want to read it, I'll support that, but if you don't I understand.” I nodded and got up. I needed to read it. I wanted to find out why they didn't want me so badly that they dumped me outside of an orphanage.
