The next day, Jungkook met Taehyung at a park nearby and they were eating ice cream. Jungkook on purpose played with his food. He licked the ice cream in a sensual way to get Taehyung's attention. It was the first time he did something like that. All these just to trap him. As expected Taehyung stared at him with a sly smile. Jungkook carried on his game, but then he felt Taehyung's presence getting closer to him. He could almost feel his fresh minty breath on his neck. He stayed still, knowing that If he moved Taehyung would step back. Taehyung put his hand on Jungkook's lap and stared at him. His lips opened and aimed toward Jungkook's one. They were about to touch when Jungkook took his phone from his pocket to check the time.
"Oh it's almost time for my shift. See you around."
He left Taehyung dumbfounded. He was satisfied with his act as he rushed to his work to tell the whole story to Jin. Soon Taehyung will lose and Jungkook will be the winner of this stupid love game.
This day has come. Jungkook was getting ready to see his mother. Today he will get a sign for sure. His whole future depended on a sign. He entered the hospice and with a heavy heart he entered his mother's room. He walked in slowly and discovered his mother by the window. She was still looking outside with a smile. Jungkook coughed to get her attention.
"Oh Jungkook ! I need you to show you something !" She quickly took an envelope that wasn't open and gave it to Jungkook.
"What is it ?"
"It is from your father. I want you to read it for me."
He was quite surprised, he didn't think that his father will still care about his mother. He opened the envelope, unfolded the paper and started to read.
"Hello, how are you doing? I wanted to say a few things concerning our situation. I want you to sign..."
It wasn't a simple letter to ask how she was doing but it was a letter that demanded her to sign on the divorce paper that she didn't sign because she still loved him. His father wanted to stop his funding to her. In other words, he wanted to cut their bond forever. As he read the letter in his mind, Jungkook eyes were teary because his mother was smiling and asked him to read more. But he couldn't. She would be hurt for sure.
"I want you to be happy even when I am not here. Eat well and sleep well. Take care of your health and I'm sure everything will be alright..." He said something that wasn't written.
"Is that all?"She asked.
Jungkook nodded. She then asked for the letter but Jungkook said he will keep it to send it him a reply later. She started to talk about him again not caring about Jungkook. He realized that down on the letter it was written "Please don't come to see me or my family. I rebuilt a new family and I want to be happy with them. " Jungkook couldn't stand it anymore. He was completely thrown away. No one cared about him even his mother, who still thinking about her husband. As soon as he exited the hospice, he felt tears forming in the corner of his eyes. He wanted to cry so bad and let out everything. But he had to be strong, strong enough to build a brand new life.Suddenly his phone rang. It was Taehyung. He didn't want to answer him since he wasn't in the mood. Plus, Taehyung's would only make his anger and frustration rise.
"Why did you ignore my call?"
Jungkook recognized the owner of this voice. He acted like he didn't hear it and walked away. But Taehyung kept on following him so his steps became faster and finally he hid behind a wall, around a corner. He waited a while before checking if there was someone around. "Safe," he said as he left the place and walked home. As soon he entered his apartment, he threw his jacket on the sofa and poured himself some milk. Then, he sat lazily on the sofa. A creaking sound was heard as he sat on the leather. He moved his leg and saw his father's letter. He took it and wanted to tear it apart so bad. But, he couldn't he had to write a fake letter, using his father's writing to hand back the letter to his mother. It was so messed up. He should tell her the truth but he can't, he can't hurt her. He sighed and threw back his head.
Knock knock.
Jungkook furrowed his brows and stood up. He opened his door and found Taehyung, panting heavily.
"Caught you."
Jungkook face was expressionless. He didn't want to see Taehyung, he was about to close the door when Taehyung forced himself in. Jungkook wasn't in the mood to argue or talk with him, so he let him and walked back in the living room. Taehyung followed him and didn't understand Jungkook's behavior.
"What happened to you?"
Jungkook didn't answer. He just turned on the television and focused on the program.
"Why are you ignoring me?"
Taehyung could see Jungkook clenched fist and furrowed brows. He could feel anger and frustration around the younger boy.
"Tell me what is wrong and I'll leave."
Jungkook was really irritated. Taehyung was too nosy for him. He was just a stranger, a person who had nothing to do with him so who could he tell him everything? Will he even understand?
"Leave," Jungkook ordered.
Taehyung seemed more angry than Jungkook. He grabbed the younger's arm and locked his eyes with him. Something about Taehyung's black eyes calmed the pain in Jungkook's eyes. He wanted to dive into those eyes and never come back to this world. His grasp on his arm was for him the warmth he was seeking for since a long time, he wanted to lean in and feel more of it. But he can't, Taehyung is not his friend, it is his enemy. He was about to walk away when Taehyung pushed him back on the sofa.
"Jeon Jungkook, speak."
Jungkook was under Taehyung and he knew that all of this was just another play of Kim Taehyung to make him fall in love with him. But it won't happen. Jungkook held Taehyung's shoulder and pinned him down on the leather mattress. He sat on top of him and looked straight into those sinful eyes. He knew that if he had his way with him, he would leave him. He knew that and it was the best option right now for him. He leaned in when suddenly Taehyung's phone rang. It was Jimin. Jungkook moved away and let him answer.
"So did he confess? " Jimin asked.
"Yes. he did."
