Patrick had only just gotten his keys to his apartment out of his pocket before someone tapped on his shoulders. He turned, confused, to see a guy a little taller than he was standing behind him. He had tattoos all over his arms, visible by the sleeveless t-shirt, and black frayed jeans. There was a sheepish grin plastered on a rather handsome face, revealing ridiculously bright white teeth. Patrick raised his eyebrows, breath hitching. Whoever he was, he was very, very pretty.
"Hi.. I know you don't know me in the slightest, but the other day when i came out in my underwear to get my mail you waved at me and seemed really nice so.." the man sighed, hanging his head, " will you please come save me from the monstrous fucking spider in my kitchen? I'll give you food i swear." Patrick stared at him for a moment before giggling.
"Sure man, just let me go put my stuff inside." As soon as Patrick said this, the guy perked up, grinning and bouncing up and down.
"Really? Oh thank you thank you thank you, that thing was going to kill me I swear, thank you so much!" Patrick smiled again; the guy was really pretty, and apparently a giant dork too, with way too much energy. Patrick sat down his groceries and followed the guy across the hall to his apartment. He led him into the kitchen, moving to stand behind Patrick.
"When I came to get help he was over there by the sink," he said, peeking over Patrick's shoulder. He couldn't help the smirk on his face; this was funny but also really, really cute. Patrick patted his shoulder before making his way over to the sink.
"Do you have anything I can get it with? A cup maybe, and a piece of paper." The guy nodded, leaving for a moment before returning with a notebook and a clear plastic cup. He handed them both to Patrick before stepping away again, leaving a center counter between them. Patrick rolled his eyes and walked over to the spider, which was indeed on the counter beside the sink, hiding behind a bag of sugar.
He had to admit, it was a fairly big spider. Black and fat and creepy. Patrick covered it with the cup carefully, stepping back after he was sure it was secure. He opened the notebook, flipping to a clean sheet to rip out. He noticed the heaps of poems in messy handwriting, but figured it was none of his business. He sat the notebook down behind him once he got what he needed, noting the guy watching him with curiosity. Patrick gave him a reassuring smile, which was answered with a nervous smile from the cute guy, before he returned to the spider.
Patrick carefully slid the piece of paper under the cup, flipping it so that the spider was trapped inside with the paper covering the top. Patrick turned, holding it with both hands, and moved toward the front door.
The guy yelped, running to open the door for Patrick. He carefully walked outside, cute guy following him, and released the spider into the bushes outside of the apartment complex. The guy whooped once he turned victoriously, giggling and smiling.
"Thank you so much again, uh..?"
"Patrick." The guy grinned, suddenly engulfing him in a tight hug.
"Thank you so much Patrick. I'm Pete."
Pete pulled back, still grinning. Patrick thought the guy might never stop smiling; honestly, he kind of hoped he wouldn't. Pete had a very pretty smile.
"So uh, Pete? You're safe now, no other spiders you need rescuing from?" He laughed, shaking his head.
"No knight-in-shining-fedora, no more spiders." Patrick blushed but nodded, hand on his neck. He looked down, feeling his face get warmer before asking.
"Since you promised me food.. How about i hang out with you while you make lunch? Or order take out? Or whatever?" Pete's smile somehow got bigger, and he nodded enthusiastically. "Sure; anything for my savior." Patrick rolled his eyes, following him back to his apartment. 'Patrick Stump.' he thought, smiling,' master flirt with cute emo boys who were terrified of spiders'
