Beautiful as she was, I couldn't help staring at her smile. I needed her.. in the best way possible I just wanted to leave with her..
why am I always into leaving?.. why can't I just stay?..
"I'm back!" She taps on my shoulder and looks at me, I turn around and smile.
"You were absolutely amazing." I looked wowed.
"Yeah... I was actually pretty nervous." She looked at my shyly and tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Well, I thought you did perfectly fine." I smile at her.
"Did you just move here?" She asks.
"Um yeah, I was scooping out the place because my friend Danny from college- the owner of this bar, told me this was the spot." I look in her eyes staring back at mine.
"Oh you know Danny! He's like a brother to me." She laughs.
"Yeah." I laugh with her.
The bar seemed packed around this time. The rain was pouring down.
"So when do you usually leave here?" I smile.
"Well, I watch people preform, sit with my friends and you know, chill out." She giggles.
"Am I keeping you away from your friends?" I laugh.
"No! No way!" She laughs.
We took a drink of our glasses.
"Is it too early to say that I love you?" I say not thinking about it.
"Yeah, it is. But, it's okay because i think I feel the same way." She giggles.
I laugh a little but I think I just dug myself a hole.
Time stops when you meet the one you are gonna spend forever with. And when I first seen this girl, it felt like time stopped for forever, but the sad thing about time is, is that it speeds up extra fast to catch up.
"I like you too, George." She smiles.
I smile being shy towards her but she knew how strong my love was for her.
"I'm gonna see if my car is alright." She laughs.
She gets up and runs outside real quick. I see her struggle to turn the car on while the rain pours on her and her surroundings. She couldn't get it to start.
She ran back in from the rain.
"Damn thing, I'm trapped here." She laughs.
"I'm sorry." I laugh.
"No, you're fine." She smiles.
"If you want a lift, I got you." I smile.
"Of course! Thank you. But, I don't want to go home, actually." She says.
"You don't?" I ask.
"No." She replies and giggles.
"Oh.. Haha. My bad." I laughed.
"So, are you entrepreneur, mister George?" She grinned.
"No, I just make music and ya know-live it up." I laugh.
"Mm. Well, if you call this living it up than I wish I was taking in what you're taking in." She said sipping a glass of wine.
"Hey, isn't this what we live for? Live music and cigarettes and wonderful people?" I said smiling at her.
"Half of these people are more critical than Rolling Stone and Cream magazine. I don't even smoke cigarettes and the live music is so local, I could name all these people and know what day their Birthday is." She said.
"That's not a bad thing right?" I smirk.
Her grin starts to fade and she nods.
"Man, would I love to have your attitude." She laughed.
"It's my specialty." I bow down and grin.
"Mhm." She says and then laughs.
"What are you doing tonight?" I ask.
"Depends on who I go home with." She smirks.
"You are one crazy cat, aren't you?" I laugh.
"If you think I'm crazy, you should meet the rest of my friends."
She was not kidding. Literally, they were the craziest I ever met.
"Mhm." I smile.
The night was short, of course because I spent all my time with her. People started cleaning out after it got late and it's been pouring rain since six, yesterday. It was four in the morning and everyone was going home. So, that's when I started to meet her friends.
"Karly, Liv, Noah, Zachary, meet George. Danny already knows him." Lillie laughs.
"Nice to meet you, George. Lillie, how many drinks did you have?" Liv shakes my hand and holds up Lillie's head.
"Enough." She slurred.
I look at her and look at Liv and shrug my shoulders.
"If my friend has interests in you, treat her good and show her well. She's not even sure of herself but you take the cake. Be good to her, please?" Liv was nurturing Lillie by putting a warm wash clothe on her forehead.
I nod.
"I said, I'm fine, baby. It's all part of the night here." Lillie was still slurring her words.
"Yeah, yeah. Somebody bring me a bucket. Karly, Zachary we'll catch up with you guys later." Liv said looking into Lillie's eyes.
"Alright, George nice meeting you. Lillie, behave." Karly says. As their walking out the door.
"It's nice meeting you guys too!" I say.
Danny runs to get Lillie a bucket.
"Why do I have to be bossed around? I'm a good noodle.-" Lillie says. Wailing her arms around.
"It's because you're a drunk noodle, Lil." Liv says wiping her face off with a wash rag.
"I think I'm gonna be sick." Lillie says.
Danny rushes back in with a bucket.
And Lillie starts puking.
I get the hair out of her face and start rubbing her back.
"I love y-you, guys." She says while puking.
"We love you too and now we're gonna put you in Danny's room for tonight. He can crash at Noah's place." Liv says while wiping the puke from Lillie's face.
"You are talking to fast." Lillie says slowly.
"George, I don't know you that well. You are a complete stranger. But, Danny knows you and that's good enough for me since we've trusted Danny our whole life. Could you possible take care of Lillie here at the cafe? Danny has a bedroom back there, Lillie has stayed here before. Just please keep an eye on her while we're gone, at least?" Liv asks looking at me.
"Yeah, of course. She'll be fine. I won't let her out of my site." I assure her.
"Good, thank you. Are you guys ready?" Liv gives me the wash rag and looks at Noah and Danny.
They nod.
"Take care of her. She's a good girl, George." Danny said.
"I'd never let anything happen to her." I say.
"I love you, Liv." Lillie said holding up her hand.
"I love you too, Lil. Go get some sleep." Liv said walking out the door and Noah and Danny followed behind her.
