"I don't know how to show you my gratitude," Kile stated as we were walking towards his house.

"It's nothing really, as long as you're alright. I know how it feels to be bullied. I guess maybe that's why I did this for you." I mentioned, not lying at all.

"You got bullied? How? You look too gorgeous to get bullied. I mean, sorry, I didn't mean to call you gorgeous, I mean blah. Man why can't I talk today." Kile said which made me laugh. I thought for a bit if this would have been like if I had a younger brother, but then realized he let go all those strong words.

"Hey, what happened to your vocabulary? And it's alright. At least someone considers me gorgeous." I said in little giggles, putting my hands in my pockets because it was getting chilly.

"I'll tell you a secret. I don't really like using large vocabulary, but I use it when I'm not comfortable with the person, so I guess I'm comfortable with you, maybe because you remind me of someone," he responded, and right away I wanted to change the subject because he looked fragile.

"So tell me about yourself, because I bet you're not a high schooler." I said smiling, hoping he would agree and change the topic.

"Um yeah, I'm not a high schooler, but a middle schooler. I'm in the sixth grade and looking at your face, I can tell your confused as to why I was at a high school. A lot of people don't know this, but the high school is smashed into a middle school, so yeah. I like reading books, especially science books. Those fascinate me. Um, I have a large family and I live here." Kile said spreading his arms to show me we have arrived to the destination. I was a bit disappointed because I needed to go get a job and I had to leave this boy who is extraordinary.

"Well it was nice meet-" I didn't finish my sentence when he cuts me off.

"I thought you would want to stay and drink coffee or coco. It's really cold outside, and maybe you can wait until my parents come to give you a lift." I was hesitant to say something because I knew I needed a job, but I didn't want to upset Kile. Then all of a sudden, there is yelling inside the house.

Kile, hearing the yells, ran towards the house, not caring for my answer. Of course I didn't want to just leave, so I ran with him in case of an emergency. What I saw inside the house was the opposite of the outside. The outside was beautiful and perfect, but inside the house was a complete mess. There was broken glass everywhere, the photographs were on the floor, and the furniture was either broken or shredded into pieces. As we went further in the house, we saw the people who were yelling. They were probably Kile's parents because they looked just like him, same brown eyes and black hair. The parents were yelling at a boy who looked around my age but looked nothing like Kile or the parents. He was blonde with eyes as black as the darkness, which disturbed me because I've never seen a guy with black eyes.

We might have made noise or the floor creaked, because somehow they managed to look towards us. Kile and I just stood awkwardly in front of everyone. After a while, Kile started to speak with his vocabulary.

"Dearest guardians, I have invited a young colleague to our premises. If you are disturbed with her here, I will remove her and locate her elsewhere." Kile said and I realized then that whoever I reminded him of was the only person he was comfortable with.

"Hi. We are Mr. And Mrs. Candle," Mr. Candle said, uncomfortable and unsure of what to do, but then they shook my hand. Hoping they didn't feel my sweaty hand, I shook hard. They all looked at me very weird, like if I were a ghost. Kile cleared his throat, making that odd sound.

"Parents, my colleague here attached my vision utensil. She also accompanied me to this destination because of the delinquents who wanted to harm me." Kile said this as if he was reporting a file to his boss. His parents then looked at me with gratitude.

"Thank you very much for looking out for him. His brother Kindle was supposed to go pick him up, but as you can see, he was busy destroying the house." Mr. Candle said this, very annoyed by his son and death glared him. Kindle looked very uncomfortable and left up the stairs. Mr. Candle did the same and vanished out of sight. Right then Mrs. Candle finally spoke.

"Sorry about that. We are going through a lot... Um, Kile bring me my phone. I can tell your older brother can't take care of you guys. I'm calling the nanny to rehire her, unless she left the state. Let's hope not." Mrs. Candle said in a gentle voice. All of a sudden, I had an idea, but looking at the disastrous house, it was going to be tough. However, I needed the money.

"I'll babysit! I can come in the morning and make breakfast, take the kids to school, pick them up after school, and clean up," I said but regretted it immediately, thinking, 'man, I'm going to have to wake up super early. What did I just say?'

I facepalm myself in my head and repeated to myself 'it's for college, it's for college', but in the corner of my eye, Kile was smiling and looked extremely happy. He looked almost relieved. Mrs. Candle looked surprised by my offering. She was speechless.

"Are you sure? It's a family of five kids and you'll have to go pick up my baby from the day care, and of course take care of the oldest one from getting into trouble." She said this looking afraid of me changing my mind. I didn't even say a word before someone who was clearly not me agreed to the job for me.

"She'll take it mother. I'll show her the mechanism we have and everything she needs to know." Kile said. Mrs. Candle thought briefly and left. Then she came back with a packet of paper and a pen.

"Okay, so this is the contract for emergency purposes. You'll have to sign it." Mrs. Candle said, handing me the pen.

Of course, I wasn't just going to sign it. I never signed anything without knowing what it was. So I started reading it and she looked at me weird. I read every little detail. By the time I read it all, it was just me sitting on the chair then I finally signed it.

"Mrs. Candle, I have finished signing" I said and walked towards a doorway, finding the kitchen.

"Oh, I thought you were going to stay there all night. I'll drive you home," Mrs. Candle said as she dried her hands and picked up her keys.

I told her thanks when we got to my house and I went straight in, immediately seeing Dr. Smith. He smiled, reassuring me that she was still there; that she hadn't left. Then I told him a quick summary of the day, including the job I got. I ate quickly and went to mama's room and I talked to her. Although for some reason, she wouldn't be awake when I would go conversate with her. I thought maybe because she was tired. I wasn't really bothered much by it. After I would conversate with her, I would hug her and kiss her goodnight. I finished all my homework early and went directly to sleep because for now on, I would have to wake up extra early. Yeah! Note the sarcasm.
