Part of me was happy that I actually had a purpose to go to the ice cream place I wanted to go to, but then again why didn't he go and have fun with them?
I should just focus on driving and not focus on that.
"I have an extra pair of keys... I kept them with me in case an emergency happened."
Canyon said nonchalant."Okay." I sighed.
The car was silent and I really liked it that way but I started feeling my eyes closing and turned on the radio. I wasn't going to have an asthma attack and a car crash on the same day.
"So where is this ice cream place? 'Cause uh we are pretty far from where we live."
"It's about two to three hours away."
"What?"
"Bro you'll fall in love with the ice cream. The place is called The Arts of Ice."
"Better be good if your dragging me hours away from my home."
"Egh. Uh Canyon I'm sorry but my head is pounding would you mind giving me some medication from my backpack." I softly said still looking towards the road.
"Uh no. Pull up here on this curve and we'll switch."
Should I switch? I mean I'm still a bit shook. Okay I'll just switch.
I pulled up and we switched sides.
"So where do I go next?" He questioned me.
"I'll just put the directions on your phone and it'll tell you, right?"
"Yeah, okay."
••••••••••••••••••••••••••
We finally got to the The Arts of Ice. It was much smaller than I remember but I hadn't been here in years so that might be it.
Sure hope it's still good as I remember it was.If you went further down you'd see Sakura trees. I don't know how I got to know this place because I had asked my parents about it but they said it might have been a dream. So I looked for it and begged them to take me when I was about twelve and that was the last time I came.
The first memory was a very huge blur but I remember the taste of the chocolate and vanilla in my mouth and the sign "The Arts of Ice" being very very cool.
I still can't believe it's still here after so many years...
We finally enter to get ice cream.
"I'll get the ice cream you get the spot. And please choose a nice spot because why get something if your uncomfortable."
"Okay, oh oh get me a chocolate and vanilla banana split. With no cherry. I don't like cherries they taste kind of weird."
"Alrighty."
"Oh here is my wallet. It should have money."
"It should?"
"Just go, trust me." I rapidly commented getting the same spot I got years ago.
The table on the side that had a beautiful view out the window.
The place was semi full having a few tables empty.
I breathe in and out closing my eyes.
I guess my body was still in pretty bad circumstances because breathing was hard to do. I refuse to use my inhaler right now since I had used it so many times today already."Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Still kind of tired but it's okay."
"So I have the ice cream."
