~Aiden's POV~
River was panicking, crying as she tried not to push yet for the second baby, our little boy. She looked so scared and it was scaring me.
"You need to push," I soothe, black veins still on my hands.
"Not ready," she yelps as she pushed, "Eep! I feel his head.".
She'd just entered hour sixteen, fear in her eyes. She whined softly, so to help her calm down I kissed her tear stained cheek.
"Listen to me, River. He's the last one, understand? I know your in pain, but think of holding our twins when this's over. Think about me and Ethan taking care of them so you can sleep. Think of how happy you'll be," I tell her, kissing her forehead.
"I have the head," Melissa whispers to me.
"Hear that baby? Halfway done," I say, praising and lying to her.
She grunted softly, gripping my hand as she pushed. Yet, I sensed something was wrong.
Melissa motioned for me to take her place and I carefully unravel the cord from my son's neck. River whined softly when she saw I had moved.
Melissa's eyes thank me, then River started pushing again as soon as I was back by her side.
After a minute I heard the soft cries of our son, smiling when Melissa said Jordan had a good pair of lungs on him.
If I hadn't sensed that problem..
"What're their full names," Melissa says after cleaning the twins up, laying two birth certificates on the table.
"E-Emmaline Jade Steiner and J-Jordan Aiden Steiner," River mumbled softly, sleep clouding her eyes.
My jaw dropped at our son's middle name. I didn't expect her to pick my first name as Jordan's middle name.
Melissa nods and fills out her part of the birth certificates, then she has River and I sign them.
