~Aiden's POV~

I watched River get ready, smiling softly. She yawned and smiled at me.

"Six more months to go," she whispers.

"Til we meet baby Emmaline or baby Jordan," I ask.

She nodded, rubbing her small baby bump. River seemed to be happier now, knowing she was carrying a child inside of her.

She yawned softly again and that's when I knew she wasn't in any shape to go to school. I gently scoop her up bridal style and carry her back to bed.

"Aiden, we have school," she whined softly.

"You're too tired," I say calmly.

"Am not," she yawns.

"I've already called Melissa," I tell her, "She's written us a note.".

"I wanna go to school," she mumbled, her head laying on my pillow.

"Rest, Rivy. Rest is good for the baby and you," I say.

River watched me, not going to sleep. I rubbed her side, being careful. She had a small hint of fear in her eyes and it kinda scared me. She rubbed her eyes, yawning again.

I started singing Mercy by Shawn Mendez, hoping it'd get River to sleep. She yawned softly, her eyes closing. She softly snored after a minute and a small smile crept onto her lips.

She looked like an angel, a beautiful and kind angel. I sit beside her, gently kissing her baby bump again, smiling as I did.

I knew I wasn't ready to be a father, but I was going to do my best for my Rivy and our baby.
