~Six Months Later~

~River's POV~

Aiden was rubbing my swollen belly as I tried to sleep. I groaned softly, then I felt my water break. I didn't say anything to Aiden, but he sensed something was wrong.

I started panting as the contractions started, but Aiden wasn't panicked. I grasped his hand as I whimpered softly. Aiden kissed my sweaty for head, "Time for the hospital?".

I nodded in pain, the contractions about twenty minutes apart now. Aiden scooped me up in his arms, grabbing the baby bag Ethan had fixed for us.

"So it's twins," Aiden mused as he laid me in the backseat of Ethan's little car.

I whined softly, panting again. Aiden got in the driver's seat after Ethan climbed into the backseat with me. I felt Ethan dab a cool cloth over my forehead, then I heard Ethan humming.

"How's she doing," I hear Aiden call.

I bare felt Ethan's gaze as I started drift in and out of consciousness. I reached for Aiden's shirt, gently grasping it.

"She's at two centimeters," Ethan says, "She's got a long way to go.".

I cry out, "H-Hurry!".

~Time Skip~

~Aiden's POV~

River was in pain and I couldn't do a damn thing about it. She had been in labor for fifteen hours and I knew she was ready to give up.

I ran a hand through her hair, kissing her sweaty forehead as Melissa came in and checked to see how much farther River was dilated. River turned her head towards me, tiredness in her eyes.

"I'm still here," I whisper to her, kissing her forehead.

"I c-can fe-feel her head," River whined.

"She's at ten," Melissa says.

I held River's left hand in my hands, kissing her knuckles as she cried out, pushing with all her might.

"I have her shoulders," Melissa says, "keep going, River, your doing so well.".

"I wanna stop, it hurts too bad," she cried as she tried to breathe.

I make the black veins appear on my hands, kissing her knuckles as I heard a little girl cry.

We're in for a long night...
