After Holden left Luke outside to his thoughts, he got lost at the stillness in the air. There was a gentle breeze that kept passing through as Luke rested against a comfortable tree. He feels himself sigh out as his whole body slouches. He couldn’t believe everything that has happen in less than 24 hours. ‘Noah has a son? How was it possible?’ He thinks to himself and he couldn’t practically hear Holden’s voice in the back of his head.

“Only one way to find out.”

But Luke couldn’t bring himself to talk to him, not after everything that has happen and why should he? Noah was the one who just stopped talking. As Luke thinks back at the fight they had in the hallway before he dropped that bombshell saying how Luke was the one that wanted him to stop.

“Seriously Noah, what are you talking about?” He asks out loud although no one was around to hear him. He wanted Noah back. He really did but he just couldn’t just bring himself to forgive the abandonment he felt towards Noah. He felt tears running down his face and a sob breaks through his throat. He sits there to cry out all the terrible things that has happen. For all the years he and Noah lost and everything that tore them apart. Suddenly he feels something warm and wet licking his face. He turns to find himself staring into two big brown eyes with a furry brown nose that lead to a mouth that had a wet slobbery tongue panting out of it. He was so surprised by it that he found himself laughing. He wiped away his tears with one hand as he pets the dog with the other.

“Hey there boy.” He says as he continues to pet this friendly German Sheppard. The dog steps closer to him and continues to lick his face.

“Donnie, where’d you go boy?” He hears Noah call out followed by a loud piercing whistle. He stands up really fast as if he was caught doing something wrong. He rolls his eyes at his actions, wondering why the hell he did that. He wasn’t doing anything wrong right? He looks back up and sees Noah has taken notices of him.

“Luke. Hey…Umm Donnie wasn’t making any trouble was he?” Noah asks. Luke shakes his head, hoping that his face still wasn’t tear stained.

If it was noticeable Noah pretended he didn’t which made Luke very thankful. Noah nods his head towards Luke as he puts his hand in his pocket. “Look Luke I’m sorry if I’m pushing you in anyway. I am surprised to see you. Does it mean I don’t want you here? No of course not. Luke you are welcome here, it’s a wonderful place and I swear to god these kids will capture your heart and even if we are fighting the entire time it is still and always will be really good to see you but I really don’t want to fight anymore.” Noah explains and Luke almost had to laugh at it. He knew Noah wasn’t a big talker so he did have to give him credit for doing it.

He let out a chuckle and nods his head although it was still a small and heavy. “I don’t want to fight anymore either.” He adds. Since his head was down he missed the smile that spread on Noah’s face.

“I know I can’t promise you that we won’t fight anymore and I know we still have a lot to talk about but it shouldn’t be now. You haven’t even been here for a whole day. You should tour the place; there are so many things to do here beside barn chores.” Noah tells him and the smirky smile on this face made Luke’s knees shake. Luke couldn’t find his voice so he nods his head.

Noah nods back before turning to walk away.

“Where are you going?”  Luke shouts out.

Noah turns around with a smile and a raised eyebrow. “The barn. You want to come with me?”

Luke feels like he should be hesitant. He shouldn’t get close to Noah again but it still felt good to be around him. He decided that for today he was going to push it aside. He nods his head and makes his way next to Noah. He turns his head to see Donnie following him. He breaks into laugh and turns to Noah.
