So apparently my mom was more angry about the art exhibit thing than I thought cause they are making me stay with a friend of theirs, Evelyn Rand. Luckily my parents had introduced me to Ms.Rand when I was little so she wasn't very concerned or upset with me like my parents were.
I had spent the whole weekend with her and was having a blast. She didn't make me feel like I was overweight or that I needed to do more in life. She was even letting me borrow some of her hats. I was reading Alice in Wonderland again so I was borrowing them to be the Mad Hatter.

We were at the subway station, sitting on a bench while she showed me how I should observe people and what I can learn from them. It was actually really inspiring. We were interrupted as I heard Maya say from across the place "Hey, crazy hat! What goes on in your head?"
Oh god, here comes crazy "You and you, c'mere! I'll teach you about life" I should've figured Evelyn would interact with them "Can't. Stranger. You want me to sit on the bench, I'm gonna need three forms of identification" Wow nice job Cory
"Trust me. I know who she is. She's all right" Where did he come from? "Okay, copper" "Hey! That's officer copper to you" Does he realize she'll most likely take him completely serious? "Mornin', Evelyn. Never gonna stop rainin', is it?"
"That's okay, Eugene. These two little dollies are about to give me one of their designer ponchos" Wow, have the girls not noticed me? "They're garbage bags, Eugene. But you have to put a hole for your head" Aw, little innocent Riley
"Ah, so you can breathe" Nope, wait for it "So the garbageman doesn't throw you out" "Yep, that happened" Why does that not surprise me? "I was yelling, but he didn't care" "I rescued her from the truck" "She chased me all the way to 33rd street"
"Wow, now that is a friend. Me? I don't Chase nobody for nothin" They're good friends for each other. I was surprised they still hadn't taken notice of me but I was kind of hoping at this point they wouldn't. "What if I stole a banana?" "I'd be very disappointed in you" "Okay" I'm honestly loving this cop right now.
"I have observed you two are good friends" Okay, Evelyn I thought you were better at observing than that "Don't miss a thing, do you, crazy hat?" "No, I don't. Now you're about to be late for school, and I'm about to be late for addressing the united nations. Have a good day, dollies. Be good people, learn all you can"
As she got up and began to leave I followed after her, the girls finally taking notice of me as they simultaneously asked "Vee?" I giggled a bit and waved as I followed after Ms.Rand, leaving them behind confused.
I was sitting in class in my seat as Cory began to teach "Belgium, 1831" "No!" ...or at least try to "In 1831, Belgium" "No!" "Riley?" "What's my thing?" Yep, definitely not getting to Belgium today "What's your thing?" "What am I going to be, dad? Am I gonna be okay?" Oh Riley, you've got Cory and Topanga as parents, of course you're going to be okay.
