“Shit Meredith calm down,” Dillon said sounding kind of mad. Then he pulled me into a  dark room. Then he let me go.

“Whata hell?” I said mad.

“You were getting too much attention,” Dillon said. I rolled my eyes then I walked to the door.

“Wait,” Noah said as he appeared in front of me out of nowhere.

“What is it?” I asked. Noah looked at Dillon. Dillon sighed and looked at me.

“I sensed something was wrong,” Dillon said. I straightened up.

“You sensed it?” I asked. Dillon looked down at his shoes.

“He’s really good at sensing what people feel. But when he’s loyal to someone 100% then pretty much all his senses are on that person, no matter where they are,” Noah said.

“Oh. So then, you knew something was wrong with me?” I asked. Dillon nodded.

“Dillon knew something was wrong so he found me and told me. Then the clouds appeared and it started to rain so I knew he was right. And he was telling me you had some trouble during P.E.”

“That’s what I was freaking out about. I think Mr. F is part of the darkness,” I said. Dillon and Noah looked at each other.

“That’s a pretty strong accusation,” Noah said.

“I know it’s just.....I was talking to Nia and Hunter and Hunter said that no matter how far into the ocean I went, it’d never be far enough,” I said.

“So you’re scared that you won’t be able to hide?” Noah asked.

“No you idiot. That’s the same exact thing Mr. Foncé told her,” Dillon said. Noah shook his head.

“Must have been a coincidence,” Noah said. Dillon rolled his eyes.

“I know it sounds crazy, but trust me something is definitely going on here,” I said.

“I’ll look into it,” Dillon said.

“Listen, I know Foncé is a little weird but he practically raised me when my parents ditched me, and he’s always been there with me. Dillon, he was the one that warned us that we were going to be attacked. I find it a little hard to believe that he’s up to something,” Noah said.

“He did warn us, but because we moved, we were caught off guard and nearly lost,” Dillon replied.

“That wasn’t his fault.”

“I’m sure you want to believe it wasn’t but I’ve always found that guy a little off and I’ve never trusted him, and up to this point my intuition has never failed me.”

“Whatever,” Noah said then looked over to me and took a step towards me. “Be careful,” he said then left.

“From now on if Foncé does or says anything to you, just tell me. Noah is too close,” Dillon said. I nodded.

“Listen, Nia said one of our elders had a vision that I was going to betray my own, so I guess it’ll be a little harder for me to go with you guys,” I replied.

“Yeah, it was pretty stupid of us to meet up somewhere public. I think I have the perfect place, I’ll let you know,” Dillon said. I nodded. Dillon turned to leave, then looked at me. “So they know that you’re with us?”

“Not exactly. It’s more of the fact that my mother was involved in this and she did some stuff that made them feel betrayed, so they think it’s me.”
