I sat in the room with a cup of hot chocolate in my hand. "No one knows you're here," Hunter said. I managed to nod. Nia was pacing around mumbling to herself. Currently, we were in Felix's family beach house. "What happened?" Noah said as he walked into the room. He looked at me then crouched down in front of me. "You okay?" He asked.

"I don't know," I mumbled.

"What happened?" Noah asked again as he stood up again.

"I went out for a run, and I heard these rogue werewolves. They too were in their wolf form. Being who I am, I was able to tap into their link and listen to what they were saying. They were planning on going to Meredith's house. I wasn't sure for what, but they said it was time for them to get Meredith and then I took off running to find her," Dillon said. He had been taking a shower and currently had just a towel around his waist.

"I was just going back home after a swim when I saw him, and he told me and we got Meredith out of there as fast as we could," Nia said as she ran a hand through her natural red hair.

"We got Meredith out, but then there was an explosion, her grandmother was still inside," Dillon said.

"Is....is she dead?" I managed to choke out.

"I'm getting ready to go check the house. I have a spell that can help me figure out what happened," Hunter said.

"I can check the plants and see what they know," Felix said. I eyed him and he gave me a small smile and said, "All things are connected, I'm a fairy and I have the power to tap into that connection." I nodded.

"She's not dead," Nia said. I quickly stood up.

"Are you sure?" I asked. Nia nodded.

"I didn't get that feeling I was telling you about and I've been communicating with the others and they didn't feel anything either. They sent out a search group for her on land and the ocean," Nia said.

"Ok then, Hunter and Felix you guys go to the house, but be careful and make sure no one sees you. Nia, feel free to join your sisters. Dillon do not take your eyes off Meredith. I'll go do some snooping around see if I hear anything," Noah said. Not long after they had all left. Dillion sat in front of me, watching.

"You can stop watching me," I mumbled. Dillion stretched in his seat and sent me a slanted smile.

"I don't mind watching you at all Mere," he said. I rolled my eyes then looked over to him. I raised a brow and smiled a little.

"Did you just call me Mere?" I asked. Dillon shrugged and looked away. "You realize only my friends call me Mere."

"And?"

"And that means you're my friend." Dillon eyed me, but said nothing. I placed the now empty cup of coffee on the table. I eyed Dillon, he was watching me. "Thank you," I mumbled. Dillon sat up straight.

"For what?" He asked. I gave him a small smile.

"For everything. For believing in me, for saving me, for being loyal. For everything. Thank you." Dillon shrugged.

"I don't chose who I'm loyal to. My wolf knows what to do."

"I guess, but you could have fought it, you could have denied it, but you didn't. And I thank you for that." Dillon leaned back in his seat.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were hitting on me Mere." I couldn't help but smile. I looked out one of the large windows. It had stopped raining, but it was still cloudy.

"Everything's going to be okay," Dillon said. I looked over to him and gave him a sad smile.

"I hope so."
