~3rd Person's Pov~
"This is how far I can go Miss. I wish you good luck on the Exam. Please stay safe." Haru said looking at Okutsuri on the mirror.
"Okay, thank you so much Haru-san! I appreciate you taking me here. Well, gotta go! Catch you later!" Okutsuri exclaimed, hopping out of the limousine. She closed the door, and stared at the dock. She had a big bright grin on her face, as a breeze came in, blowing back her short red hair.
'Father...Mother, I'm here. I'm finally here in my home world, taking the Hunter Exam. I can't wait to try it out! I hope you guys will look over me.' Okutsuri thought, her grin not leaving her face.
Gathering all her courage, she walked towards the ship, determination rushed through her veins.
"Huh? What's a kid doing here?"
Okutsuri almost fell, as an anime vein appeared on her head.
"Yeah, and it's a girl too!"
'Oh, underestimating me, eh? FYI, even if I am an otaku and all I do is watch anime all day, doesn't mean I'm not athletic! Uwehehehe~' The red-head thought, as a scary and glum engulf her body.
"Oi! You there! The girl with red hair. You should go home now and play tea or something. The Hunter Exam is for serious people only."
"Yeah! Go home and help your mommy cook dinner or something!"
"Haha!"
With the mention of 'mommy' something clicked inside Okutsuri. She slowly turned around, and sent a cold, deadly glare at the people who said that.
"Shut up, weaklings."
The people flinched and talked about something else. Okutsuri scoffed, and looked away. Only to meet with big, hazel eyes.
"Uwaah!" She shrieked in surprise. "Ah! I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you, hehe~" The boy said, laughing nervously.
Okutsuri blinked, until her mouth dropped to the ground.
'No waaaaaay! It's Goooooooooooon!' She thought, fan girl-ing in the inside, but kept a blank face on the outside. She cleared her throat, and looked away, she held a flushed faced as her eyebrows were furrowed.
"A-Ah, I wasn't scared. I was just...surprise is all...I-I'm O-Okutsuri, by the way.." The red-head stuttered, still not meeting the spiky-haired boy's eyes. "Oh, I'm Gon! Nice to meet you Okutsuri-san!" Gon said, offering a hand. Okutsuri blinked at the hand, and hesitantly shook it.
"Y-Yeah..same...wait, Okutsuri-san?"
"Yeah!"
"You can call me Okutsuri. Adding -san is way too formal." 'Though I feel normal when they called me Ojou or Miss.'
"Oh, okay! Hmm...how about, Okutsuri-chan!"
Okutsuri blushed, and smiled sheepishly. "Hehe, sure. Why not?"
Gon grinned. "Hey, Okutsuri-chan. Why do you want to take the Hunter exam?" He asked. The red head looked around, and gestured to find somewhere private. They went towards the edge of the ship.
Okutsuri leaned and sighed. "Well, to be honest..."
'Should I tell him?'
"I...I...I guess I want to have an adventure..?"
"Really?" Gon asked, tilting his head.
'I can't tell him yet.' "Yeah, being inside my house my entire life was pretty boring. I want to have a cool adventure. Cause, why not? As if I'd spent my whole life doing nothing. I want to have fun! And...maybe meet some new people along my journey? I don'r really have any friends."
"What about you? Why do you want to be a Hunter?" Even if I already know why...
"Me? I want to find my dad! And know why he left me to become a Hunter!"
Gon...
How can you still...
"I know you'll find him. I believe in you, Gon." Okutsuri flashed a warm smile towards the all green boy. He nodded and smiled back. "Thanks!"
'Wait, this is when Gon finds Katzo and—'
THUD!
"Oh, Gon! Over there!"
"What? Let's check it out Okutsuri-chan." She nodded and went to the sound.
~Okutsuri's Pov~
Katzo! Gon and I stopped running and stared at what was happening. Katzo was there on the ground, the apples scattered around the floor.
"What are you doing Katzo? At this rate, you won't be a good sailor."
"Haha!"
Katzo lowered his head, and started to pick up the scattered apples. Just then—
"What are ya losers doing? Stop slacking around and start working!"
The two crew members got scared of the voice and obeyed. We turned around and saw the captain of the ship. He was carrying a bottle of alcohol and he glanced at Katzo.
"You." The sailor got surprised as he turned to the captain. "Did you hear what I just said? Go back to work!"
"A-Aye captain!" He croaked, and hurriedly picked up the apples. He wobbly stood up, the box in hand. As he was about to leave, Gon called him.
"Hey." He turned around. "Here, you missed one." The spiky-haired boy said and tossed the apple, which landed on top of the box perfectly. "A-Ah, thank you very much." Katzo thanked and walked away. Gon waved as I stared at the captain. Gon finally turned around with a smile, but that smile instantly got replaced by a frown.
"A storm is coming."
"Huh?"
