Hour 2

Your P.O.V.

We ran like hell. We didn't know what it was but we weren't about to find out. It was probably dangerous, due to circumstances. We heard a scream come from not too far away. I ran that direction, "(y/n)!! Come back!" I kept running out of pure curiosity. 'Curiosity killed the cat'. That phrase ran through my head that Carson used to say to me. I was nosy, I have to admit. I saw a pink haired girl, oh with this again, and a blue haired guy. There were a couple of others but before I actually take on their features I'll wait for names. Carson caught up behind me and we all ran. None of us asking questions yet because we were in danger. We jumped down into an out-cove little thing beneath the ground. We all jumped inside. "What happened?" I asked the girl. "It touched me" "the fog?" I questioned but the guy stepped in. "Who are you, where'd you come from?" They had their weapons drawn. "Look. We mean no harm, for now, I just wanted to know what happened" "it's poisonous" the girl exclaimed. She had pink hair, green eyes, and she wore a short dark pink dress. I tore off a piece of the jacket I had, I stepped forward to wrap it around the girls arm. The guy pulled her back but she got out of his grasps and stepped forward. "Here" I said as I wrapped the cloth around her wound. "You'll need something to heal that though" I smiled at her. "Thank you" I looked down at the jacket corner I had torn. Sorry Shadow. "I'm Amy" she outreached her hand to me. I took it and shook it. "This is Sonic, Miles, and Mario" Sonic had blue hair, green eyes and a blue and white hoodie with a machete as a weapon. Miles had yellow hair, blue eyes, and he had no weapon it seemed. Mario had brown hair, blue eyes, a red cap, and a no weapon either. The girl had a mallet though. "I'm (y/n), this is Carson" Carson gave a two finger mini salute. They looked out and saw the fog still rolling. "Looks like we're stuck here, like it or not" she directed the last part at Sonic. He went over to a side of the place and sat down. "You haven't happened to see a girl with blonde hair and spunky attitude here have you?" Mario approached me, I thought for a moment. Peach? "Her names Peach?" "..yes.." "I ran into her a couple of hours ago..." "it's true" he walked away with a horrified look on his face. I looked at Carson with a worried look and sat next to Miles. "Hey, Miles right? How come you don't have a weapon?" "I'm the brains of the team. I ran away from the center instead of towards it at the beginning. Later I returned to grab something, but I'm not good with weapons" I looked him over. He didn't seem like the fighting type, skimpy is what I mean. I looked over at everyone else, everyone was either standing or sitting off somewhere. I got up and walked over at Carson. "If.." He looked over at me. "What?" "Never mind, it's too early" "tell me, I'm curious" I can never let anyone down about curiosity. I sighed, "if it came down to it, would you rid me?" "Rid you?" "Kill me" I plainly said. He looked over at everyone else then back at me. Their attention was raised, they were definitely watching out. "O- of coarse not. Why would you ask that?" I looked down at my lap. "You think you know someone, but desperate times bring out the worst in people" "don't say that! I would hope I died before I had to make that choice, if it came down to it, I would kill myself for you!" I looked up at him. We were definitely drawing a scene. "Okay... but why?" "What are friends for? Besides, I know you wouldn't be able to kill me and vice versa. So I would let you live" he went in front of me and laid his hands on my shoulders. I looked into his dark green eyes. He looked deeply into my (e/c) eyes. I hugged him, squeezed him. "I hope that never comes" "I'm sorry, it will" he stroked my (h/c) hair as I cried on his chest. I pulled away and rubbed my eyes. "I'm sorry" I faced everyone else and went to the entrance. I looked out at the fog rolling away. "It's going away!" Amy pointed out at the fog. Miles stepped out and looked around. "Coast clear" Sonic stepped out. He hit Miles in the arm, "you just risked your life!" He rolled his eyes and walked away. I heard a canon sound go off. I gulped, oh boy. We all looked at the sky to see who has passed. It showed four people; Ivo, Wario, Waluigi and... oh no. Peach. I looked over at Mario. He fell to his knees. "No.." "four down sixteen more to go" Miles said next to me. I walked up to Mario, "you must of known her well" I laid a hand on his shoulder. "Yes... She was my girlfriend" he stood up. I looked at him with sympathy. "Her death will not be in vein" I walked back to Carson. "I can see what Shadow was talking about" "huh?" "People die by the 'Events' in here or they drive themselves to death or madness" I stood closer to Carson as I watched Mario. He got up and got his weapon and walked away. "Mario, where are you going?!" Amy shouted. "Let him go" Sonic grabbed her shoulder. I looked up at Carson, he was a little bit taller than me. He had a stern look on his face watching in the direction that Mario left. "I wish I was home" "We all do, (y/n)" he wrapped his arm around me. I leaned on him. What next?
