Hour 3

We had made our way around. A couple of more people had died. Two to be exact. Two down, fourteen to go. It was practically not an option to travel in large groups. There was no point, small or no group was the best. Me and Carson had snuck off from the rest of them to go alone. The bong was heard all around. It rang three times, the third hour. We ran from the noises in the forest. We ran into some other people. "Hold it!" A brunette shouted at us. She had twin blades and blue eyes. "Were not gonna kill you" I held up my hands. I don't even know why I have a weapon if I'm taking the passive route. "Good, we have enough troubles anyways" "we?" Carson questioned and just on time her pals showed up. They dropped from behind us. "Hello little lady" "ah!" I turned around quickly. It was a guy with red hair, purple eyes, and no weapon. I turned to see a brown haired guy with a green cap, green shirt and folded over overalls, and a crossbow. The lady grabbed me and pulled me into some kind of roots of the tree. "Wh-" "shh! You'll thank me later" I stayed quiet. I looked out to see if the others were gone. They weren't in sight. I kept quiet, despite the fact she had her hand over my mouth. "Just keep quiet okay?" She let her hand off my mouth. I nodded and looked around from where we were. There were branch's and twigs in my view though. I heard a noise, something like howling monkeys. I heard a scream and a thud. I saw someone laying on the ground, bleeding. "Blaze!" I gasped. The brunette cupped her hand over my mouth. She turned us away from the scene. I heard gruesome noises of her being attacked more. I heard some grunting of an animal. She told me to keep my eyes closed. I did so and not long after that I heard the noises but fading away. I opened my eyes and stepped out. I breathed out, heavily. "Ah" I stood up at the sight of the dead body. "Oh.. Blaze..." I knelt down next to her. I closed her eyes, as you would do when someone died. Carson stood behind me and put a hand on my shoulder. The brunette shook her head, "poor soul" I stood up. "Introductions should be made" "(y/n)" we went around saying our names. "Daisy" the brunette said, "Luigi" said the guy with the green cap. "Knuckles, pleasure to meet you" he winked at me as he shook my hand. What's this guys deal? "What were those?" "Monkey mutts" I turned to see someone step out from the shadows. "Shadow!" "My my, who's this hunk?" The brunette stepped next to Shadow. "Well, she just said my name if you were listening" I walked up to him. "Why are you here now?" "Just walking this way and hearing a scream makes someone curious, no?" I looked at him curiously. Did he..? "You might wanna watch out, anyone else 'wondering' into our group and someones gonna get killed off" right, usually strength in numbers but when they thin out you gotta spread out. The canon noise sounded, everyone looked up. It showed two people, Blaze and Mario. I saw Luigi take off his hat and held it to his chest. "Did you know him?" "He was my brother" I put my hand on his shoulder. Shadow walked up to me, "a word" "oh okay" I looked at Carson who had a suspicious look. "What?" "Your going around sympathizing with these people when their just gonna plot against your back" "at the moment I don't have to worry about that" "Well you better start or your gonna die" "Why do care? You could be plotting against my back as well" he looked at me. "I can't deny you that factor, but I'm not. At least at the moment. So don't worry, I'm not hunting you yet" I began to walk away when spoke up again. "Two down twelve to go" "thanks for the recap" I gave him a mini two finger salute. I walked over to Carson, "should we split from this group?" "Might as well, it's bound to happen eventually. Better now while we can" just then Daisy popped up in between us. "Ooh, what are we not telling anybody" "ah. Well if we told you, we wouldn't be telling nobody" I crossed my arms. "Okay okay, sheesh" she looked around. "We'd best be going" Carson grabbed my hand and started to walk away. "I understand. Well, see ya later when I stab ya in the back. Literally" she twirled one of her dual blades in her hand. "Can't quite say I'm looking forward to it" he dragged me away. We both took off, in hopes we wouldn't have to face them again. We still heard those 'Monkey mutts' so they must be crawling around somewhere. We ran into another problem though. We saw a group of them in a circle. I heard someone talking, "just keep your eyes shut" I went over. I saw a white haired chick and a little girl. She had an orange dress with a blue necktie, light brown pigtails with dark brown at the tips, blue eyes, and she had no weapon. The lady had a full body black suite with a heart on her chest, white high heel boots, and blue eyes. "We can't get involved with more people" "I can't help it" I ran over to them. "Hey monkey mutts!!" I yelled at them. They looked at me and started running at me. I ran away and grabbed the trunk of a tree to swiftly turn around. I ran back, losing them, and helped the poor people. "You alright" "yes, but we have to leave" "wh- I just saved your life" "yeah, and if we stay here all of us will be dead" I left along after them. She's not wrong.
