Your P.O.V.

The rain kept pouring outside of the out-cove. I was bundled up with my legs up to my chest. My head laid on my knees looking out at the rain. It was thick and rained down hard. I turned my head the other way, not being able to look at it anymore. I felt something cover me and my bare skin. I looked up, Shadow had put his coat in me. "You looked cold" he was looking out at the rain. I smiled and snuggled up. I must have fell asleep because he was shaking me. I got up and rubbed my eyes. "C'mon, time to regroup" he helped me up and we walked out of the out-cove. We searched around until we found Blaze and Peach. "Where's Silver?" "He-" just as she spoke up we all heard a canon noise. We all looked up at the sky which showed some people. "The people who died" Shadow said as to answer my question. The third person it showed was Silver. "What?" Shadow turned to Blaze and Peach. "We got separated... apparently he didn't make it..." Peach said as Blaze stood there silent. "I'm sorry-" I started to say when Blaze pushed between us and walked away. I looked at Peach and she just followed. I looked at Shadow and he just did the same. I caught up with him and walked beside him. "Four down twenty more to go" we walked on. I still thought about how five people just in the occurrences in the past hour. "I think these 'events' will kill of more people than the people would" Peach said in the silence. It fell silent for another ten minutes till we heard a noise. We all stood quiet, looking around. I caught my eye on something orange in the brush. I drew my bow and went up to the brush. "(Y/n)?" "Carson!" I dropped my bow and hugged him. The others still had their weapons drawn. "This is my friend from my district" I explained. Blaze looked at the other questionably. She kind called them over and started talking. "You've been with these people?" Carson asked as soon as they weren't paying attention to us. "Yeah..." He looked at me. "Good thing to know that your keeping warm" he gave a little thumbs up and looked over at them. They dispersed from their group to face us. "Well, he can come along" I looked at Carson. He just huffed, "fine" we moved on and started walking toward a rushing sound. I walked away from Carson a moment and caught up with Shadow. "Here's your jacket-" "keep it" he pushed my hand offering his jacket back away. I put it around my waist. "So what district are you from?" "Nine" "Oh, twelve" he looked at me. I couldn't tell what kind of expression it was so I continued small talking. "So what's your story?" "Didn't we establish this already?" "I know you said that's there's never friends in the dome, but you said in the end it doesn't even matter. So why don't you tell me, I'll be dead with your secret anyways" he looked at me again. "Right. It's not a secret though, I don't feel the need to tell people my business" I nodded my head a little. "I understand" "Well. Did you want to know or not?" I looked up at him in surprise. "Y- yes, I guess I do" "I'm a past victor in the games" I gasped, "no way. You've lived through one of these man slaughter events?" "Yes, I am" "then you must know a trick or two" Carson jumped in out of nowhere. "Why?" Shadow looked ahead with a very stern look. "Because you've been through this hellscape and lived" "doesn't incline me to nothing" "the hell it doesn't!" I kind of stuck around even though I was now a witness of the conversation. "Everyone else fell into madness and killed everyone else or killed themselves. The natural events also took a toll on them also" he closed his eyes. "What happened to the other person from your district?" I piped in. He didn't answer or open his eyes. She died obviously, but I wanted to know if he killed her or not. I looked over at Carson, would he have to do the same. "She died obviously, in order for me to win" "So she killed herself?" "No! I wouldn't have let her do that" he regained his composure and the others were listening in as well. "Well?" Blaze asked intrigued now. "If you want to know so badly... I witnessed her die. I couldn't do anything because her fate was already decided" I thought so. He must have cared for her dearly to have outbursted in her defense. Then again it's ill to speak of the dead. He looked off and stopped walking. I stopped right beside him, I placed my hand on his shoulder. "Don't." He pushed my hand away and began to walk away. "Where are you going!?" Blaze stepped in front of him. "Were all gonna betray each other in the end, it's better to part" he pushed her aside and kept walking. I looked down at my feet, "sorry" "no need to be. He's right" "yeah, eventually everyone in this little groups gonna be a victim" Peach was polishing her gun. It glinted in the sunlight from through the trees. I gulped, "So we should split up?" "It would be best. For your own sake" she turned and walked away. Peach followed, something made that girl stick around. What was the deal with that group? I looked over at Carson who just took my hand and walked away. "Well, we lost that group" I looked back in the direction they had gone. "Yeah..." I followed Carson. We were traveling for a bit when a big loud noise sounded through out the arena. It was a loud bong like before. It sounded two times this time. "Get ready" I nodded my head and got ready to move. We didn't do anything yet because we didn't know exactly what was coming and what to do. So we waited until we saw some fog roll in. "Run!" Carson shouted and ran the opposite direction the fog rolled in. I took off, light on my feet, after him. This is the second hour.
