chapter 1 - A new start

CATHY'S POV

I woke up to most annoying sound in the world, my alarm clock. As I slowly open my eyes I read the clock on my nightstand it read 8:30.
"Omg I'm going to be late" I mummbled to myself as I quickly got out of bed and raced to the bathroom.
I quickly checked myself in the mirror only to see a monster staring right back.
I squealed when I saw my hair. Some strands of hair were sticking out. I looked like i walked right in the middle of a tornado. I grabbed my brush and started to brush out my hair.

Once I was done with that I took a quick 10 minute shower and picked out my clothes I picked out some high waisted shorts and a hot pink crop top that stopped just above my belly botton with a white cardigian. Today was my first day at my new school. My dad decided to move after my bad past back in Washington. Me my dad and step brother Stefan all moved here to California because of me. I wish my mom was here. My mom had past away back in Washington after she had her car accident. I blame myself everyday for it but my dad says it's not my fault.

*Cathys outfit*

I was soon interrupted from my thoughts by my step brother Stefan.
"You better hurry your going to be late on your first day" he said while throwing me a granola bar. I nodded and quickly put my converse on a grabbed my backpack and headed out the door.

10 minutes later I was at the entrance of my new school. As I was entering the building I was tripped by someone.
"Ouch" I mumbled.
"Omg I'm so sorry I totally didn't see you, here let me help you up."
I stared up to a red head girl. She was short but not too short. She had perfect white teeth, a flawless skin and the cutest dimples on the side of her cheeks.
"Are you ok, I'm so sorry I didn't see you" she said. Her voice was soft yet clear, you could totally tell she was the confident type.
"O-oh um ye-yeah I-Im ok" I said trying hard not to stutter but failed .
"I'm Ashley, what's your name" she said.
"O-oh I'm Ca-Cathy ".
"Well Cathy from the look of it I'm guessing your the new girl, welcome to Ridgewood high".
"Th-thank yo-you" God I hated when I studderd.
After I waved goodbye I went to the main office to get my schedul. Great I have math first period. Can my life get any worse.

After the first bell rang I quickly made my way to my first period. My classes were all in the first floor so I didn't have trouble finding them and they were close.
As I entered the classroom I was met with a group of eyes. I quickly picked a seat and sat down. Once everyone was in their seats the teacher Mr. Light walked in right behind him was a boy, he was pretty hot looking. He seemed the bad boy type, the one that would break your heart and wouldn't care. He had crystal blue eyes and you could see his muscles through his white shirt. I looked at his face and saw him staring at me with a smirk. I quickly looked away.

*Freddys outfit*

"Ok class settle down, we have a new student joining us today."
Great he's going to make me introduce myself, have I mentioned I'm shy.
"Everyone please welcome Cathy arias  she's our new student, Cathy can you please stand up and introduce yourself"
I slowly got up trying hard not to look at the 30 eyes staring at me.
"Um I'm Cathy I just moved here from washington, um yeah" I stared at my shoes like they were the most amazing thing in the world.
"Okay thank you Cathy, is there any questions for cathy" Mr light asked.
I was about to sit down when a question caught me off guard.
"Are you single"
I looked up to be met with the boy with crystal blue eyes. He had that same smirk on his face.
" Um ye-yeah " I said back studdering. He was going to ask another question but Mr light stopped him.
"Ok that's enough questions for Cathy freddy,well lets start" Mr light said.
I sat down and looked to my right to see the boy im guessing was named Freddy staring at me with a smirk across his face. I looked straight and tried to pay attention to the lesson but i couldn't with him staring at me. I knew from the start that this  was going to be the hardest year of my life. The rest of the day went by pretty fast. As the bell for my last period rang I made my way out of the classroom. I was walking towardsthe exit when I bumped into something hard.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there" I said. I looked up to be met by Freddy, or should I say crystal eyes.
" oh no it's ok , I'm Freddy by the way we have math together"
"Oh um yeah , I'm cathy" I was really surprised I didn't studder.
"Well I have to go bye" I rushed out the exit doors and started walking to my house which was only 10 minutes away from school. I entered the house and went straight to my room. No one was home, dad was still at work and Stefan was probably out with his nre friends. I finished my homework and went down stairs to get a snack. As I was making my pop tarts my step brother Stefan walking in.
"Hey sis how was school".
"Um pretty good I guess". I finished my snack and went back to my room.
I layed down on my bed and soon felt myself falling asleep.
