Chemical Trails .XI.

"Rian, what's up man?" Alex said, giving him a bro-hug.

"Nothin, just hanging out here. Do you know where Jack is?" Rian asked, looking for his friend.

Alex shuffled, twisting his fingers and said, "No, he texted me and told me that he was at the store picking up some drinks."

Rian scrunched his eyebrows in thought. "We already have enough drinks here."

Alex thought for a moment too. "Have you asked him to do anything recently?"

"No, nothing." Rian replied. "I'll text him again and see if he answers this time."

Rian pulls out his phone, texting Jack and places it back in his pocket once he's done. He gets a reply almost immediately.

Jack is laying in the grass, looking up into the currently night sky. He's thinking about Alex and how bad he just wants him. He wants him in every way possible.

His phone vibrates in his pocket, turning out to be a text from Rian.

r u ok? we thot u were excited for tonight but ur not home

Jack inhales a breath of fresh air and replies, his fingers typing quickly across his phone screen.

ya ya sry im fine ill be there in 10 mins

With that, he got up from the grassy haven and into his car, driving to his house.

It's a short drive; nearly ten minutes like he said, but it seemed like it took thirty seconds to get there. He was afraid to look at Alex really. He feels as if he did, Alex would know that he'd overheard Alex and Lisa.

He knew that really wasn't possible though, so as soon as he got to his house, he tried to act his normal self.

"Jack!" Alex said, running up to him and embracing him in a hug. "Where were you?"

Jack leans out of the touch and replies, "Just at the store."

"Rian said we didn't need anything though," Alex thought out loud.

"Yeah I know, but I thought we did. I guess not." He said, faintly with a fake smile.

"Are you okay?" Alex says, looking Jack in the eye.

Jack seriously wanted to lean in and kiss that boy, but he knew that he couldn't. Could he?

"Can you come upstairs to my room for a minute?" Jack asks scaredly.

"Okay Alex, so I've... I've wanted to tell you something and I haven't been completely honest with you." Jack fidgeted nervously on his bed with Alex beside him.

"What is it, Jay? Your scaring me." Alex said, scooting closer for comfort.

"I just, I-I don't really know how to... Put it in words. Well, I do. But, not really, a-and,"

"Jack," Alex said, placing his hand on Jack's shoulder. "You know you can tell me anything."

Jack put his head in his hands and sighed
