-Giovanna's POV-
After Anthony and Toby were cleared of all charges, Theresa told Toby that she didn't care if he did or didn't kill Charles, he was coming back home with us. After a lot of convincing, he agreed to come back. Theresa also extended her invitation to Shane, but he said he had to stay here. Especially since Lisa's mom was the judge and he was afraid if he left she might revoke her decision.
When we returned to the house, things seemed to go back to normal. If you can even describe what went down under this roof "normal".
In addition, like with anything Theresa felt the need to celebrate, we were having yet another gala. This one to celebrate her new boyfriend, Dylan, who seemed like a pretty nice guy, and the return of Toby.
I was in the laundry room, cleaning up after making sure the dresses for all the girls and the tuxedos for the men were ready to wear, when I came across the dark blue dress I wore to the first gala I sneaked into as a guest. I picked it up in my hands and smirked, memories flooding back to me.
"You know," Someone stated from behind me, "I never got to tell you that night because I wanted answers to some questions, but you looked really beautiful in that dress."
I turned around to see Anthony standing in the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest. He was dressed in the black tuxedo and had a rose in one of his hands.
"What are you doing down here?" I retorted softly, as I set down the dress, "Shouldn't you be getting ready with Kalel or something?"
"Nah," He replied casually as he took a step into the room.
I chuckled slightly, "You're not a servant or maid though. You shouldn't even be down here."
"I know. But nothing's stopped me yet."
I gave him a perplexed look, "Anthony, what are you trying to get at?"
He approached me and pulled me into a kiss. I pushed him away and stared at him, shocked. He held out the rose to me and sighed, "I want you to walk into that ballroom with me. Not Kalel, you."
I shook my head no and pushed the rose back at him, "I'm sorry, Anthony. I can't."
"And why not?" He cried as I walked past him. I stopped in my tracks but refused to look back at him, "Charles isn't here anymore to keep us apart. Kalel has no one to tattle on you to anymore. There should be nothing keeping us apart anymore!"
I gulped, "What about the fact that you've been sleeping with my enemy for the past few weeks?"
"I was weak," He attempted to defend himself.
I slowly turned around, "You were weak? You're not the one who lost her mom. You're not the one who was almost killed by her psychopathic foster dad! And you're not the one who had to see her brother and the man she loves admit to killing that man!"
"I couldn't let an innocent man go to prison for something he didn't do."
"But he did," I retorted, "I was there when it happened."
"And so was I," He added, "I wasn't lying when I said I was the one to put him up to it. I wasn't lying when I said that the gun was mine. And I most certainly wasn't lying when I said it was my idea."
I stared at him in disbelief when I heard the click-clack of high heels echo through the hallway of the servants' quarters. I turned around and saw Theresa, "Oh, hello, Anthony," She remarked, "I didn't think you'd be down here."
"Sorry, mom," He retorted as he leaned in and whispered in my ear, "We'll talk about this later." And with that, he left. Theresa waved to him as he went upstairs. She turned towards me and smiled.
"There's some I'd like you to meet," She announced.
"But I need to go talk to Anthony..." I replied in a trance-like state as I started walking in the direction he fled.
"You can talk to him later," She told me, grabbing my arm and pulling me close to her, "I'd like you to meet Dylan's son," She took me upstairs into the crowded foyer as the guests migrated from the entryway to the ballroom. We met up with Dylan and his son. His son was dressed in a tuxedo with a bowtie and he looked like he obviously didn't want to be here. I couldn't blame him, neither did I. He had dark brown hair similar to Anthony's and small black studs in his ears.
"Dan, this is Giovanna," Dylan introduced us.
"Hello, Giovanna," Dan greeted unenthusiastically as he shook my hand. I noticed he had a British accent.
"Hello, Dan," I retorted.
"He's going to be moving in with us soon," Theresa stated as she clung to Dylan's side, "You two should get to know each other! If you need us, we'll be dancing!" She sang as she and Dylan escaped into the crowded ballroom.
"Wait!" Dan and I both shouted in unison. When we realized they weren't coming back, we both kind of just stood there awkwardly.
"So, Giovanna, care for a dance?" Dan inquired to break the silence.
I blushed as I pushed a piece of hair that became loose from my ponytail behind my ear, "I actually don't dance. Sorry."
"Oh," He scratched behind his head, "That's a shame. I was kind of looking forward to dancing with such a beautiful girl like you." I smirked.
Before I could thank him for the compliment, I saw Anthony coming towards us. He was walking briskly, but slowed as he approached us, "Dan?" He asked under his breath.
Dan's eyes widened and he retorted, "Anthony?"
-Ian's POV-
Without Joey here, things have been really hard for me. I tried to fall back on Giovanna, but I think I came off the wrong way. No, I don't think, I know I came off the wrong way. And I was hoping that maybe tonight, I'd stumble across her in the ballroom, ask her for a dance, and maybe start off with a clean slate. But as I stood by the wall, she was nowhere to be seen. Instead, I saw Mari. She saw me and looked away. I hated how things have been between us since I kissed Giovanna. I had to make things right.
I rushed up to her side and tapped her on the shoulder. She glanced over at me and scowled, "What do you want?"
"I'm sorry, Mari," I apologized, "I didn't mean to kiss Giovanna, in front of you..." She glared at me, "Or ever. I was just...going through a rough time and..."
"That still doesn't give you the right to make out with the maid," She retorted.
"Why'd you call her the maid? I thought you and her were on good terms."
"We were, but then she kissed you," She answered.
"I kissed her!" I tried to explain to her. She just shook her head and walked away. "Mari, wait!"
-Pewdiepie's POV-
Meghan and I were upstairs, on the balcony, lips pressed together as we held each other tight under the moonlight. She and I sneaked away from the gala to have some time to ourselves. Before, I was worried about liking Meghan while I was with Marzia, but now I'm done with Marzia. And I couldn't be happier with Meghan. Even though our relationship was kept a secret from everyone.
"Felix?" She asked sincerely as she pulled out of the kiss.
"Yes?" I retorted as I smiled down at her.
She heaved a sigh, "There's something I haven't been telling you."
I took a step back from her, "What do you mean?"
She frowned and tilted her head down, "After you and I broke up, there was this guy. His name was Jimmy." I rose my eyebrow in confusion - where was she going with this? "He and I started dating and..." She paused, heaving a sigh, "And I'm still dating him."
