Calypso was sewing in front of the TV that Leo was trying to fix with Buttercup, because Buttercup had accidentally hit it with a sword. Buttercup felt bad of course, but she loved fixing things with her dad.Buttercup handed his tools, and she tried to fix the screen when Leo was done with the wiring. Soon enough, the mechanic duo had finished.
"Mom, what are you making?" Buttercup asked Calypso who had finished with one article of clothing which she tucked into a bag so no one could see it.
Calypso smirked. "Today we're going to take holiday pictures. You and your 'cousins' are going to get a group picture."
"So you're making us matching shirts of something?" Buttercup asked.
"Sort of." Calypso shrugged as she was sewing again.
"Hey darling, do you remember when you made me those awesome clothes when I was stuck on your island?" Leo asked while putting the tools away.
"You mean the ones you totally destroyed?" Calypso asked with fake anger.
"Hey, it's not my fault I had to save the world." Leo shrugged.
"Tell me the story again!" Buttercup exclaimed. "I like that story!"
"Okay then, I'll tell the story." Leo said and sat on the couch. "Once upon a time there were seven demigods who were gathered to save the world from Gaia the evil Mother Earth, aka Queen of Potty Sludge." Buttercup giggled at this part. "Anyways, so the group of demigods traveled to Europe in a massive war ship that was built by the most handsome guy of the crew, me." Leo smiled and Calypso rolled her eyes.
"Anyways," Leo continued, "Soon we went to go battle the giant giants in Athens."
"You skipped over the part where you met mom!" Buttercup said, and Calypso nodded.
"Fine." Leo smiled. "I got sent to this island by Miss Ice Drama Queen and I landed right on a picnic table. Then this beautiful lady came over and yelled at me for breaking her picnic table."
Calypso sighed. "I still haven't forgiven you for that."
Leo continued anyways. "I was stuck on the island with her and we eventually fell in love with each other. I almost didn't want to leave."
"And then mom kissed you goodbye!" Buttercup said. "When the raft finally showed up."
Leo nodded, smiling faintly. "Anyways, back to the action. We were fighting the giants and then Percy got a nose bleed and doomed us all."
Buttercup burst out laughed, and Leo couldn't help chuckling. "But it's true!" Leo laughed. "And then Gaia woke and we all thought we were dead until the gods showed up." He smiled. "I was the bravest one out there. I stayed with my ship, trying to fight back and fix it at the same time and your grandfather, the great Hephaestus helped. Soon we had defeated the giants and had to get to camp to defeat Gaia and stop the war. I got Festus ready and we soared in the sky. Festus grabbed Gaia in his metal talons, and Jason and Piper flew up with us. After Piper charmspeaked Gaia to sleep I told them to get far away. And as I was getting ready for the explosion a giant screaming fire ball came towards us and...I died." Leo said the last part dramatically.
"But you didn't you idiot." Calypso said finishing another article of clothing.
"Technically I did." Leo smirked. "I just got the whatever it was cure. Then I came back to the island to retrieve my girlfriend."
"And you ruined the clothes I made you!" She pouted, and Buttercup and Leo laughed. Leo loved bonding with his family during the holidays, even if it was telling the story of how he died.
