Drop it like it's hot
Like Lava in
Waterghost's hands. Two weeks had gone since that downfall in the Bunker... Sue slowly got used to her new freedom, even if she still had got no clue what to do in ongoing life. Happily she had been gifted a mental slowlyness to keep her head not pushing her into things too quickly. On a boring afternoon she decided to visit the lateshop again, where she hoped to meet Jerry again. And may it only to get him off her mind. It was a rainy day but with her waterproof jacket and trousers she felt comfortable in the grey business of the town she walked through quietly. She felt common with these sad looking beings all around.
After she had arrived in the rich quarter lateshop was located in a little depression overcame her. Behind the desks it wasn't Jerry. Another guy with a moody view in his eyes, not inviting to stay. Still Sue decided to order a coffee to sit outside the store, relaxing a little from the walk she had taken to here. Soon another customer took seat next to her. He had came there with an expensive bike, and started chatting on her like this: "It's ugly weather, ay?" Sue didn't react. "I mean, it's pooring like hell." Sue bend her head to study this guy saying: "Feels like underwater love for me..." The guy looked strangly after these words answering: "So you don't mind the rain?" - "No, I like weather. And it's good for air and nature, I am not made of sugar, ay?" The guy's face changed to a really weird expression. With no more words he sank into his mobile. "Maybe free Wi-Fi around.", Sue thought as she saw Jerry walking around a corner heading for the shop.
"Oh, my favourite lesbian!", he laughed at her. The biker sitting next to her stood up suddenly and left without saying goodbye. "Byebye, Ken-Man!", Jerry shouted after him grinning. He seemed go know him, maybe a regular customer, Sue imagined. "I got some time to shift is starting. Will you mind, if i sit here to drink a coffee and chat a little?" Sue nodded not losing Jerry out of sight until he entered the shop. He returned with a christmas-styled coffeepot. Sue laught: "What a pot! I mean it's late fall, but a little early, ay?" "Everyday christmas for me. And I like the colors!", Jerry answered with a smile.
"You two came back home safely?", Jerry asked. "Yes, we did, but we both got a huge hangover." After a little pause she added: "It was a really nice evening." - "You are welcome.", he replied, "but no cuddling then in night?" Sue felt a little ashamed of lying back at that time. "You know, she isn't really my partner, just my best friend..." - "I thought so, sweetheart.", Jerry laughed again, how could he know? Is he a megalomaniac? What is this boy doing to me? Sue asked herself starting to sweat. She wasn't even surprised by her quick answer: "Yes, please.", after Jerry had asked for a date. "Maybe we meet in the park and go for a walk, I could show you a hidden place, I imagine you could like it there..." Another "Yes, please." followed. Normally i am not that agreeingly devote, Sue stated mentally. "Tomorrow at 4pm, Queen's Bridge in the park, ok for ya?", Jerry seemed a little pushed. "Yes, please.", Sue replied feeling a little stupid. "I have to work now, stay here as long as you want and have a nice rest of day, 'kay?" - "Thanks, 'kay. By the way, what is your name?" He laught: "I am Jerry, but most call me Jay. And yours?" - "I am Sue." - "Nice to meet you, Sue. Bye, to then.", he quoted entering store taking his colorful out-of-time pot with him.
A short time after Jerry had gone, two new customers took place next to her. Sue was still in her thoughts. "Are you cool?", one of them asked. "Yeah, yeah, feeling little confused today.", she answered. "It is a cool shop, yeah, open to 12pm any day. And good, strong coffee, ay?", the other one of the like contruction-worker looking guys asked. Sue agreed without words. "Nice time, guys!", she said as she was leaving the scenery with slow movements. Right now she felt really nervous of what could happen tomorrow at around Queen's Bridge.
