Ruby's P.O.V.

"Dad, I swear if we move one more time, I'm running away." I say in a joking but serious tone.

I am getting tired of moving. We've moved nine times and this one would be our tenth. On our ninth move, we had found a pack willing to take us in but then my second oldest brother Jake just had to go and piss the Alpha off.

Dad swerves the car a bit. "Ruby, please don't do that. The house were heading to is temporarily until there is a pack that'll take us in." He tells me.

I was satisfied with the answer my father gave me and then I looked out the window. We were passing by the forest and I was really hoping that the new house would be near the forest.

I swear it felt like we were being watched but I couldn't see anything. I shivered a little and noticed that we were driving up into a driveway. I turned my head to look forward and I saw the house. It was smaller than our other house but it still looked really beautiful. It was painted gray and it had a brown wooden door.

The yard was small as well but the bonus was that the forest was near the house. I was happy about that. I would be able to go for a run and still be near the house at the same time.

"I want to explore the forest." I say out loud.

I hear dad chuckle. "Of course you do but right now, I need you to help move things in and then you can explore, alright?" He tells me.

"Fine but I'm not lifting anything heavy." I reply.

All of us get out of the van and make our way to the back. A truck pulls into the driveway towing a u-haul behind and then my twin brother Hunter, who is older than me by three minutes, gets out.

"You didn't ruin my truck did you?"My older brother Duke asks, running over to inspect the truck.

I shake my head; I swear Duke is in love with his truck.

"I didn't ruin your precious truck. I swear you should've drove it." Hunter says.

Duke growls. "Dad asked if I could let you drive, so shut it." He replies.

"Boys, knock it off and get over here and help move things inside." Dad says with a demanding voice.

Both of them glare at each other before making their way to the van.

I grabbed my book bag that was beside me during the drive and then I closed the sliding door. I made my way to the back where everyone was at.

"Duke, can you go open the front door?" Dad asks handing him the key.

Duke grabs the key and he heads to the door, then dad hands me a box. I take it and follow Duke to the house.

"Why don't you go pick out your room?!" I hear dad yell out.

I walked inside, placed the box down on the ground and then I looked around. The living room was medium sized and the walls were painted in a plain white color. The carpet was brown with a few spots.

I see a hallway so I make my way through it and I see a staircase heading up. I climbed up the stairs and when I got to the top there was another hallway.

I began walking down the hallway and for some reason, I felt like I needed to go to the end of the hallway so I did. On my right there was a wooden door so I opened it and walked through.

The walls were painted blue and the carpet was gray. I noticed that there was sliding doors so I went over and looked out. The view that I had was breath taking, I was able to see more of the woods and I absolutely could not wait to get in there and check it out.

I turned away from the sliding door and got a good look at the room. It was a lot bigger than my other room; I saw two doors that were near each other so I opened up the first door and saw the bathroom. I then opened up the other door and saw that it was a walk in closet. I knew then that I just had to have this room not because of the closet but because of the view.

I heard a knocking sound so I walked out of the closet and saw my dad standing in front of the door.

"Is this the room that you have chosen?" He asks.

I nod my head. "This room is perfect." I respond.

"Alright then, you ready to come down and help bring boxes in?" Dad questions.

I put my book bag down on the ground and nod my head. I followed dad through the hallway and down the stairs. We went outside and I noticed that it looked like it was going to storm.

We managed to get all the boxes in before it began pouring. I went upstairs to my room and got my bed set up with the help of my twin. After my bed was sat up and moved to where I wanted it, I grabbed my zebra printed comforter and my pillow. I tossed them on the bed and kicked Hunter out so I could go to bed.

After he left, I rummaged through one of my boxes and pulled out my pajamas. I went to the bathroom with them and changed into a white tank top and a pair of black shorts. I tossed my clothes into my laundry basket and then I turned the light switch off and made my way to my bed. I pushed the comforter and then climbed into bed pulling the blanket over me. I tossed and turned a bit before laying on my side falling into a deep sleep.
