Jay's pov
"Nya, I know we have dated for awhile. And I have been thinking that we should settle down and start a family. So I was wondering.... Will you make a man like me happy and marry me?" I went down on my knee with the box of the engagement ring open. My head shook as I stood up and closed the box.
'No that doesn't sound right....' I paced back and forth, thinking of what I did wrong that time. Ugh, proposing is much harder than I thought it would be. I stopped and took a deep breath and started yet again.
"Nya, we both know that we have been dating for awhile. Ever since we met, I knew that nothing could tear us apart. So, I was wondering...." I went down on my knee, staring at the grass beneath me. This will be the last practice run before I actually man up and ask her.
"Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" I said, staring at the ground still.
"Yes." A raspy voice replied. I looked up and screamed as soon as I saw who stood right in front of me.
Overlord's pov
Jay's voice filled the silence outside, luckily it was loud enough so no one could hear me moving around in the bushes surrounding him. A knife was in my hand since I wouldn't need to do anything crazy to kill the blue ninja.
He was off guard and alone. No weapon except his powers. All the other ninja were probably inside, not realizing one of their team member were outside, about to be killed.
"Nya, we both know that we have been dating for awhile. Ever since we met, I knew that nothing could tear us apart. So, I was wondering...." he went down on his knee and stared at the ground, pausing.
'Perfect, time to strike.'
I quickly snuck to where I stood right in front of him. Both hands holding the knife over his head. He then opened a ring box and then said "Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" I lowered the knife and dropped it to the ground. He still stared at the floor but held out the ring box. I stood there but the word "Yes." escaped my lips.
He looked up and screamed. He threw the box and I caught it. I grabbed the ring and slipped it onto my ring finger. "O-overlord?! What are you doing here?"
I chuckled and picked him up by the collar of his shirt. "Was going to kill you, but now we are engaged." His face went completely white as he squirmed and was about to scream again. I planted my lips on his and he went completely still. I pulled away and his eyes looked into mine until his body went limp.
He apparently fainted after the kiss, so I set him down and then picked him up bridal style and started to walk away from his home.
"You shall forever stay with me... You are mine now..."
I know it's short.... 531 words.... XD
