Nya's pov
We have followed Zane's falcon all day until the sky started to darken. We have been flying in circles all around the city since we arrived. "Zane, I don't think the falcon knows where Jay is." I said in defeat. I just hope we have time before the wed.......
The falcon soon dove down, heading straight to a dark alley. This caused both my and Zane's dragon to follow quickly. As soon as the dragons set a foot onto the sidewalk, they disappeared. The falcon and pushed down a button that was camouflaged by the wall and the bricks moved out of the way, revealing a hallway.
The wall of the hallway was black as well as the tile on the floor. When we both entered, the entrance disappeared, leaving Zane and I inside an unknown place. As we walked, we passed a large room that had seats and decorations set up.
"This is where the wedding is going to be held....." Zane mumbled, starting to walk away from the room. Quickly and quietly, I followed. We then entered the dining room, where we started to hear voices. It sounded like the Overlord's and maybe a stone warrior. "Nya you go find Jay, I'll make sure they don't go check on Jay." Zane whispered to me, basically telling me to run.
So I obeyed and ran away, looking for the room that belonged to Jay.
Zane's pov
Once Nya left, I quickly ran under the table before I saw the Overlord come in with a stone warrior right behind him. But something about the Overlord seemed different. He was... well.... human? He wore normal clothes instead of his golden armor and he didn't have sharp teeth like his normal form.
"You better have all entrances guarded and make sure no one like the ninja get in." The Overlord told the stone warrior as he sat down. He scooted his chair so he was as close to the table as he could. I immediately regretted hiding in the spot I am in right now. My spot was of course right in front of Overlord's legs. One movement could get me killed..
"Sir, are you sure the blue ninja wants to marry you?" The Overlord started to cough, like he was eating but almost choked after the question was asked. Once his coughing fit was over, he finally answered.
"Of course he does. Then explain why he asked me to marry him." I could hear the stone warrior sigh. "Please enjoy your meal sir. I will go check on the wedding arrangements." Then the sounds of footsteps indicated that the stone warrior had left.
The room grew silent except for occasional silverware colliding with a plate sound. My right leg began to ache with all my weight I was putting on it. Maybe I could shift a little.... I shifted a little, but accidentally hit Overlord's leg lightly.
The silverware was slammed into the table and the chair went back a bit. Overlord then stood, and bent down to see what was under his table.
His red eyes met my icy blue eyes once he was basically on his knees. "Ah a ninja....."
Well, I'm dead.....
ZANE!!!!!!!! NO!!!!! WHAT AM I DOING?! ZANE WHY YOU GO UNDER THE DARN TABLE?! YOU SUPPOSED TO BE SMARTIES!
